Ron is the founder of the Burdge Law Office. As a young attorney starting out in 1978, the first case he worked on involved a used pickup truck where he represented an older consumer against an insurance company that didn’t want to pay $1,200. That case went all the way to the Ohio Supreme Court. He won the case.

His second case was a "lemon" car case against Chrysler Corporation (before there even was a lemon law) and that case started a lifelong career of representing consumers against car dealers and manufacturers over defective vehicles and auto sales fraud.

Success can be measured in lots of different ways and for Ron it’s not just winning a case but sometimes it’s running a crooked car dealer out of business too.

Of course, sueing car dealers all the time can make it harder for the staff of Burdge Law Office to buy a new car, too. In fact, one legal assistant was told to "go elsewhere" when the car dealer found out where she worked. But that turned out okay, because she got a better deal somewhere else anyway.

Ron has testified numerous times before the state legislature on Consumer Protection issues and has successfully represented consumers in thousands of Consumer Law cases all over Ohio. Often asked if he ever gets bored handling just these kinds of cases, Ron says "Never. Every case is different, every person is different. I don’t get bored. If anything, it just gets better."

Lately though the associate attorneys at the Burdge Law Office have begun handling a broader range of Consumer Law cases, including Identity Theft and Credit Rights cases. "This is an area of law that has naturally come out of handling auto sales fraud and car cases," Ron says. "Credit is critical in nowadays and identity thieves can ruin a good person’s credit faster than a car dealer can rip you off — and that can be pretty fast!"

Ron is a voracious reader and loves reading car magazines and business books sitting on a beach (islands are his second love). In fact, if there were more cars on Carribean islands, Burdge Law Office would probably have an office there and Ron would be running it.

Great communication, great resolution

I contacted Mr. Burdge in regards to a spot delivery scam, and he was quick to help. He guided me through everything I needed to do, clearly and quickly. If there was an issue in regards to papers, I was notified promptly. And when the dealership would not budge, he knew exactly what needed to be don...e. I would greatly recommend his service.

5 Star service and knowledge from Burdge Law Office

I have never needed to hire an attorney before for anything and had nowhere to go with so many car issues. With one referral, I blindly went to Burdge Law Office and they know how to get things done. They always kept me informed, were honest, and told me specifically what was needed on my end so I ...was not confused. I did what was asked of me and they took care of the mess I was in with my new car. After a lot of hassle from the dealership and big car companies, the vehicle was repurchased for its original price and this is due to the expertise, organization, and staff at Burdge. Excellent job and superior service!

outstanding Law Firm !!

After purchasing my vehicle, I immediately started to have major problems. I contacted several other attorneys before contacting Burdge Lawfirm. None of them would accept the case. Attorney Burdge was very willing to listen to my complaint. Once the ball got rolling , Burdge Law didnt miss a beat! I... was kept abreast of everything that was going on with my case. My stress level was back to its normal range and eithin 4 months of hard work, I received notice that the case had been settled ! I was thinking that it would be a long drawn out process but that wasn't the case; we never even made it to arbitration! I would highly recommend this firm to any consumer who is having problems with a dealership .

Let me say this – Don’t hire anyone else!! When it comes to fighting against a dealership or manufacture he has no equal! Attorney Burdge and his entire staff could not have been better! Everyone was helpful, friendly and most importantly completely knowledgeable. My case was centered on deceptiv...e business practices rather than a true lemon law case. From my first telephone call to the law office until the final settlement I was kept informed though out the entire process. Every question I had was quickly responded to and solved. From the moment I contacted this law firm their interest in helping me was beyond what I had ever received from any Law firm. The staff was very friendly, responsive and knowledgeable. I contacted them over two months ago. Provided the paperwork they requested to review to determine if I had a Lemon ...Law case or not. Within just a couple days I had a returned phone call saying I had a valid case. They clearly explained what they would do to protect my consumer rights and asked what outcome I was wanting to receive. I spoke with Attorney Burdge personally on three occassions and each of those I felt very comfortable. I was never treated disrespectfully, he took time to explain the case, I never felt rushed while talking with him on the phone and always felt like I was being represented fairly. The case took roughly two months to complete. That is outstanding! Attorney Burdge accepted my case explained why I had a case and then used his expertise to get the best possible outcome, which ended better than I could have ever anticipated. I always felt like he had my best interest at hand. I will hihgly recommend Attorney Burdge to friends and family that are ever placed into this unfortunate situation. I appreciated his expertise, time and patience to protect me as a consumer.
