I wouldn't accept these services again if they were free.
I've never been treated so poorly by an attorney. I am very disappointed as I thought I paid $1500 for one of the "best" lawyers in Medina. While I ended up getting charged with something I didn't even do. A deal was worked out which was very unfair I simply had no other option.
Sometimes the direct and honest manner in which I advise clients about legal options, fees and consequences of decisions rubs certain individuals the wrong way; and their feelings are hurt. It is never my intention to do so; but sometimes that happens anyway. I work hard to educate clients so they have a clear understanding about the "pros and cons" of their case; as well as the time and money required to "fight the system" when they are "wrongfully charged" with a crime. Apparently, I was able to "work out a deal" that this client accepted but felt was "unfair" but they had other options: fight the case; hire another lawyer; represent themselves in court. I do the best I can to help people every day; and have done so for thousands of clients all over Northeast Ohio for the past 25 years. My apology to this client if s/he was unhappy with the method or delivery of legal services in their case and/or the fees paid for same. I hope and assume the "deal" I negotiated worked out for you in the long run. Good luck and best wishes! Attorney Korduba

Not Prepared
Andrew told me he was the one and only working on my case but when in the courtroom he asked me "what do these markings on the evidence mean? " The markings were done by his staff and he didn't know it meaning he didn't prepare for my case. He also quoted me a price for trial and then asked for more ...
Not true: the client must testify to the court and explain "what the markings on the records mean." I cannot do that for the client in court. Likewise, I am sorry this client was unhappy with legal services provided and/or the outcome of his/her case. This is very unusual as you can see from all of our other satisfied clients over the past 16 years. My office prepares all cases for Trial in advance. We meet with clients regularly in person, by phone and via email. The client likely had an "hourly fee contract" and pre-paid for a one-day trial but the case was not finished in one day. Thus, additional fees were required for trial day #2. The client decided not to proceed with trial day #2 but settle the case instead and is now unhappy with that decision. This result is very unfortunate as we work very hard to please all of our clients and get them the very best results possible. I hope things improve for this client and his/her children in the future. Best wishes.

Does not seem to care about his clients or their interests
Korduba did a poor job a communicating the legal process upfront. Was informed of the full details and legal steps of a motion after the fact. Seemed to be more of a proponent for the male in the dispute.
Not true. The legal process was explained to this client several times in specific detail; as is done with all clients upon commencement of the case and throughout representation. We also care about clients and their interests; and actually obtained the result this client wanted without having to proceed with a contested trial over the disputed issue in court. So I am confused and surprised by this negative review; as this was also a "repeat client" that came back to me again for help a second time after the initial case was resolved to his/her complete satisfaction the first time around. Nevertheless, even one dissatisfied client is too many. We will continue to do our best to provide accurate and efficient legal services, and, work even harder to show clients we care. Good luck and best wishes.

Most expensive secretary you will ever have.
I needed an attorney for a dissolution. Obviously a difficult time when ending my first marriage and having children. I have been nothing but disappointed from our first meeting. Granted I knew nothing at all about the process which is why I wanted a good attorney. Firstly, my consultation was NOT fr...
Out of approximately 200+ Divorce and Dissolution clients I assist every year, even 1 dissatisfied client is of concern. While it is impossible to respond to this person's specific concerns, all I can say that this is not our normal standard of service. I encourage any client who feels we have fallen short of their expectations to discuss them directly with me (a) so we can make good any shortcoming for the client; and (b) so we can change our internal processes to make sure such failures do not occur again. That being said, I do offer a "free initial consultation" BY PHONE. We do not require prospective clients to "come in for an appointment" and take time off work to meet with us. During that initial telephone consultation, we discuss IF we can help the client, and, HOW MUCH it will cost to hire the office to help them. This client apparently wanted "free advice" before paying for it. Second, if this client was "disappointed from our first meeting," he could have terminated legal services at any time and for any reason. Our Contract expressly states a client may terminate services at any time and for any reason. This client never once mentioned any dissatisfaction with the manner or services provided until this posting. Third, we do not "brag" or "tell stories." I am confident in my legal knowledge, analysis, and application to the facts and circumstances of each case. The "stories" I tell are EXAMPLES of other cases with the same or similar facts and circumstances, in order to EDUCATE a client about their OPTIONS and the CONSEQUENCES of those choices. The stories are meant to be an analogy for the client to help choose how they wish to proceed in their own case. Fourth, I am required to send my clients all settlement offers from the other attorney, and, ask them "what they want to do." I then provide "legal advice" about their OPTIONS and CONSEQUENCES of those decisions, taking into consideration the TIME and MONEY required to dispute and litigate disagreements over issues. The "long and condescending letters" are sent to clients to provide a specific written legal analysis of the issues and options to prevent a client from later saying, "I was never advised" or "he never told me that." Fifth, the "last of the legal documents I need to approve are so jargon heavy" comment did not include the fact that I offered this client the opportunity to call and schedule an office OR TELEPHONE appointment to discuss any questions or concerns he had before "signing away his retirement." The client chose not to call or come in to discuss his "concerns." Finally, a Dissolution is uncontested. There is nothing to be "cocky" or "arrogant" about "in the courtroom" on the day of the Final Hearing. It is a rather straight-forward legal proceeding in which the Judge approves the Petition and the marriage is legally terminated. It is a very emotional and stressful event for most parties. This client was obviously very upset that day and may have taken the conversation or comment I had with the Judge out of context. I have a very good working relationship with all the local judges from working with them over the past 16 years on a daily basis. It is unfortunate that this client was unhappy with legal services provided. But it appears that I was able to help him successfully terminate his marriage with children amicably by Dissolution Agreement, which is not always that easy to do. And there were no comments or criticisms about the the division of assets/debts, parenting issues, child or spousal support, etc. So, I can only assume the client was satisfied with the ultimate outcome of his case but was just disgruntled with the legal process. Not uncommon for someone getting a Divorce. We will take his comments under consideration and try to do better next time. Please review the other comments by many of our other satisfied clients to determine if my office is right for you and your case. Or you could always just give me a call and talk..
