Unprofessional and unresponsive

Scott is unprofessional and unresponsive after the initial session in which he will tell you whatever you want to hear.

Having had just an initial consultation with this consultee, I can only say that this post is a bit misleading. As with every consultation, I provided to the consultee my professional opinion on a course of action, that opinion being the same as that expressed by many other lawyers with whom the consultee met before me, but that opinion seemed to not be what the consultee wanted to hear. Not taking on the consultee's legal matter after the consultation, I unfortunately was not in a position to reply to numerous follow up emails seeking that I change my opinion on the consultee's legal matter.

Absolutely Amazing

I had a lawyer in the past that failed on so many levels, and knew I needed to do my research and consult before hiring. If I had even one doubt, I moved on. I went into my initial meeting with Scott thinking he could be a "winner," when I left, I knew he was the one. He made me feel comfortable and ...that was a big thing! He explained everything and never made me feel dumb if I didn't know or understand. He truly cares and is not all about the money. You won't find that anywhere else. I cannot say enough amazing things. I thank my lucky stars I found him.

Lets the other side roll right over him

I read the reviews of Mr. Deliman without noticing that they are all from the same year, within months of each other. It's 2 years later and we did not have a good experience. We sought legal counsel to fight spousal support. He barely fought for our interests, left us in a terrible financial situati...on (I.e., going to the food bank, likely losing our house, pressuring us to sell it, etc), then complained because the magistrate's decision that resulted from his ineffective defense left us unable to pay his bill. He consequently withdrew a week from an important court date. Throughout the time he was our attorney, he seemed very distracted, couldn't find things in our file, and let his secretaries respond for him. We do not think this man was worth his fee. We hired him to mitigate damages. Instead, he damaged us himself. Please don't let this happen to you.

While I seek to accomplish client goals at all costs, I understand that in people-oriented professions, there will be times of frustration. Because our ethical rules enable withdrawal for non-payment, I make every attempt to remind clients of overdue balances, sometimes to my detriment when significant services continue without compensation. Withdrawal only occurs as a last resort and on my part, very rarely. However, lack of payment and failure to follow advice in a manner that becomes significantly detrimental to a case sometimes require withdrawal from a case and I understand this measure does sometimes incur backlash. I continue to remain willing to regularly discuss with clients any case issues, finances, attorney fees and other matters of representation to avoid problems with a case or interruption of services, and I strive to maintain a reputation to that effect.

Wish I would've found him earlier!

After my divorce I ran into financial issues and was left no choice but to file bankruptcy. He was honest and got me through the entire process pain free. I only wish I would've found him earlier and used him for my divorce. However, for any financial advise I would recommend him! I recommend him ...to all my friends and family as well. Truly the best Attorney I've ever dealt with.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
