Steven D. Eversole

I hired Eversole Law to defend me in a criminal case. They never created a proper defense for me and tricked me into pleading guilty in order to get a trial by jury. They then abandoned my case on the trial level because I refused to pay additional fees for a trial which were not agreed upon. I ma...de initial contact with Steven Eversole. I thought he would be representing me, but he sent other attorneys. At my first court appearance, Richard Perry of the Eversole Law Firm told me that making a guilty plea was the only way to appeal in order to receive a jury trial because he could not win this case on the Municipal level, so I did just that. During a later court date, Eversole Law Firm sent another attorney, James Fancher. The guilty plea was questioned to Mr. Fancher and I instructed him to correct this error. He told me that a plea of “guilty” was “no big deal” and told me that it was not important. This proved to be incorrect and poor legal representation I have suffered due to their unprofessional and unethical behavior. I thought that these so-called professionals would guide this process with good intentions, but that was clearly a very wrong assumption. They preyed on my ignorance.

I have to say, the day we got the call from my son saying he was in serious criminal trouble in Alabama, I thought it was a no win situation and that serious jail time was ahead for him. He had class A felony charges filed against him with 10 years to 99 years sentences possible. Being from the ...northeast I had nowhere to turn to or anyone to help us. Well, after reading many reviews about Steven Eversole law firm and that he specializes in these types of crimes and having read how people felt comfortable with him and had great results, I decided to give him a call. From day one Steven assured me that he would fight very hard for my son and would do his best to see that the least amount of jail time would be served. That's what i wanted to hear. Through out the legal process Steven and his team walked us through the whole judicial system in an unfamiliar state. Sam Dixon who was assigned to our case couldn't have been better. The way he interacted with the judge and prosecuting attorneys was professional and done with great skill. I was amazed and quite stunned that a probation sentence was given instead of any prison time. Im not sure we would have gotten those results with anyone else. I would highly recommend hiring Steven Eversole law firm for whatever situation you find yourself in that needs attorney assistance. A heart felt thank you Steven and also to your entire team!!

I don't even know where to start. Eversole Law should have been the first firm I hired in Alabama and not the last. I needed Steve to help with an appeal from the Family Court to the Court of Civil Appeals and despite the horrible decision from the Court's. (on every level in my case) Ashley, Steve... and Sam worked very hard and diligent to argue for my family and tried very hard to fix things that were very wrong. Their knowledge of the law and their passion for their clients rights were always apparent to me. I felt as though I was his family and he was my big brother sticking up for me when I couldn't. Even from 700 miles away. My case was a super complex interstate UCCJEA case that originated from a Divorce in Virginia and since has returned there. If by chance I EVER need any Legal representation in Alabama in the future he will be the first person I call. Ashley was always pleasant, responsive and on top of everything. I never felt once that they didn't have time to listen to me or answer a question. I never felt that they didn't have my best interest at heart or a plan of action. Everything was filed promptly, as discussed and adressed my situation. Their communication with myself and my wife was above expectation. Some people say Lawyers don't get personal about clients or cases, or that they don't care about the outcome. I can honestly say I disagree (I could hear it in his voice he care's)! I was left with the feeling that they did absolutely everything they could have done with what they were handed. And on such short notice at that. I truly believe if I had hired him first the outcome would have been extremely different. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. Ashley, Steve and Sam if you should see this review. Hired after he boasted of having many successful rule 32, post conviction relief cases. After he took my money, he was extremely slow at doing anything, except requesting more money, he didn't update me on my case progress, he was abusive and confrontational when i asked for updates and ultimately i ...was laughed at in court by the Judge on the grounds of my appeal and was denied any relief.

I hired Mr. Eversole years ago to represent me in my divorce. He took my money and performed no services at all. Would not give a refund or answer calls. I learned that recently that his license has been suspended and this makes me so happy! I never received my money back from Mr. Eversole but I knew... that all of his con-artist like ways would catch up to him. Meanwhile, I am now happily divorced, remarried with a new baby and enjoying life to the fullest and he has been exposed and has no career. Beware of this man and any thing he is associated with he is the devil.
