I am a native of the Tampa Bay area and have lived here for the past 36 years. After graduating from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in both Political Science and Criminal Justice, I began my legal career at Stetson College of Law’s prestigious law school in Gulfport, Florida. During my time there, I focused my training in litigation in all areas of Criminal and Civil Trial Practice, becoming a member of Stetson’s nationally top-ranked trial team, and competed with schools from around the country, beating teams from Harvard, Georgetown and Duke.
After receiving my Juris Doctorate degree from the Stetson College of Law, I began my tenure with the Pinellas County State Attorney’s Office as a Prosecutor in the Sixth Judicial Circuit working with State Attorney Bernie McCabe. During my time there, I held many positions, including Lead Trial Attorney in the County Court Misdemeanor Division, where I, among other things, was asked to teach new prosecutors and law enforcement about various topics, including DUI law and enforcement. Further, I served as a Felony Prosecutor, focusing in the areas of Domestic Violence, Stalking, Child Neglect and Sexual and Child Abuse. Throughout my career as an Assistant State Attorney in Pinellas County, I prosecuted over 3,000 criminal cases and took over 60 cases to trial.
Upon fulfillment of my contract with the Pinellas County State Attorney’s office, I began my solo practice in St. Petersburg, Florida, where I focused in the areas of Divorce, Marital and Family Law and Criminal Defense, helping people throughout the Tampa Bay Area, including Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Hernando, Sarasota and Manatee counties. Eventually my solo practice grew into a successful partnership with offices in both Pinellas and Hillsborough County. Since turning my focus toward Divorce, Marital and Family Law, I have been successful helping my clients with litigating matters ranging from Divorce, Child Custody, Child Support, Paternity, Disestablishment of Paternity, DNA tests, Modifications and Enforcements, Restraining Orders and Injunction and Child Relocation while building a successful practice with my wife, Dina Busiglio Sheridan.
I hold a license to practice law throughout the State of Florida and in the Federal Court for the Middle District of Florida. I am a member of the Florida, Hillsborough, St. Petersburg and Clearwater Bar Associations, as well as a member of the Florida Academy of Trial Lawyers. I can be seen on Fox 13 News Ask-A-Lawyer and heard on .
I take pride in my no-nonsense, knowledgeable and thorough representation of my clients in Family Law, (Child Custody, Child Support, Paternity, Disestablishment of Paternity, DNA tests, Modifications and Enforcements, Restraining Orders and Injunction and Child Relocation) cases.

When I first walked into Josh Sheridan’s office, I was a mother fighting not just for custody, but for my daughters’ safety in a system that too often prioritizes parental contact over child wellbeing. The odds were stacked against us — the presumption of 50/50 timesharing felt immovable. But with Jo...

It is my opinion, based on my first hand experience that Joshua Sheridan with Busciglio Sheridan & Schoeb Pa. is the least experienced lawyer in all of Tampa Bay. It is my opinion that Joshua Sheridan seriously lacks skill, knowledge and experience in the matters of family law, never mind complex mat...

Joshua Sheridan stole over $8000 from me when I hired him to see my son. Almost a year has gone by and I still have no contact with my son. He will not give me my money back. Do not hire this person or anyone in this firm.

The representation I received when I retained Josh Sheridan was less than impressive. He was recommended by a mutual friend with whom he associates professionally. This is the reason my expectation for his services were more than adequate to handle my case. Unfortunately, this is not what was experie...

I came into see Josh during my pending divorce. I was about half way through my case and in the middle of a mess. Everything in our divorce just kept going back and forth with every small issue, we weren’t making any progress, and I couldn’t seem to get things moved ahead. I felt so hopeless and d...
"I endorse this lawyer. I have known Josh throughout my legal career. I have handled cases against him while I was a prosecutor and along side him in private practice. I routinely consult with him on legal matters due to his experience and expertise in multiple areas of law. He is knowledgeable, well respected within the legal community and a zealous advocate on behalf of his clients. I would recommend him without hesitation."
"If anyone is thinking about hiring or referring a client to Joshua Sheridan for criminal defense or for a domestic violence hearing, that’s probably a good idea. I called Josh when my client was in jail, criminally charged with domestic violence, and facing a domestic violence injunction. My client was out of jail the next day, Josh stayed in regular communication with both of us, the criminal charges were dropped, and Josh won a contested domestic violence injunction hearing by creating a timeline of events that called the veracity of the “victim’s” allegations into serious question. It is hard to imagine how anyone else could have possibly done any better. You have to love it when your client has his “best day in court.” Thanks Josh!"
"Josh is a seasoned litigator that gets big results for his clients. He has significant subject matter expertise in tort litigation and fights hard for his clients. He works hard for his clients and understands their concerns."
"I endorse this lawyer. I was opposing counsel against Josh in a very contentious divorce. I found him to be reasonable, honest, and solution-oriented, all while zealously advocating for his client. Since then, I've routinely sought his advice and counsel on matters and do not hesitate to refer clients to him."
"I endorse this lawyer. I have worked with Mr. Sheridan on several cases and always found him to be professional, competent and a zealous advocate for his clients."
"Having worked as a prosecutor for years, Josh has the relationships and the experience that are absolutely critical to getting the best defense possible. I've known him for decades, and he is a bright, hard working attorney. I am so grateful to have someone as trustworthy as Josh to refer my clients to in the event there are any criminal allegations or family law troubles."
"I highly recommend Mr. Sheridan. I have known Josh for many years. He is an excellent litigator who works hard for his clients. You will not find a better lawyer."
"I endorse this lawyer. Mr. Sheridan is a dedicated and passionate advocate for his clients. He is well respected in the legal community."
"I endorse this lawyer. I've known Mr. Sheridan since law school. He works hard, is smarter than most, and gets great resolutions to his cases. He's respected by both judges and his lawyer peers."
