Outstanding Immigration Lawyer

Peter Messersmith is an outstanding immigration lawyer. His expertise is truly one of a kind even as he assessed and guided us through the entire EB1 Green Card process which took approximately one year from start to finish. His professionalism is demonstrated in his confident calm demeanor. He is v...ery prompt in his emails, always resolving any doubts we might have had. He does not rush through any part of the process, instead takes his time to analyze and suggest practical solutions. I would highly recommend him for any immigration needs which are especially challenging and would require a high level of expertise and knowledge to present the case. A special shout out to Jen, who has been exceptional in her email responses which are always prompt, polite and very professional. The Messersmith Law Firm deserves five stars. My family and I have been beneficiaries of services rendered by highly skilled yet hardworking sincere honest individuals. I wish them all the very best and excellent success in every of one their endeavors.

An extraordinary attorney that brings out the extraordinary in others

As I see it, Peter Messersmith is the best immigration lawyer I have worked with this far. My experience with him is in his service in the EB1 category. While it is one thing for immigration lawyer to be gifted with the extra ordinary ability to see and recognize that of another, it is another gift ...to bring it out and put it together in an EB1A application. Peter is one of a unique kind with both of these characteristics, amongst the many reputed firms that fall far short of both. With the Messersmith law firm, we have seen service that can truly make a difference to its clients. Given the grilling EB1A USCIS requirements, it is hard for an individuals to see through themselves anywhere near qualifying: the rigid demands are really a veil to many to see anything in themselves to meet such requirements. Given this, Peter’s expertise is truly one of a kind as he assessed and guided us through the entire EB1 process. We received our green card in about 8 months after filing the I140. We spent about 3 months working with Peter (and also Jen) prior to that preparing our case. Laying aside his creativity and his gifting, he is very prompt in his emails, always clarifying doubts and answering questions we had. For all exceptionally demanding immigration needs that require an attorney well versed and skilled to prepare and present the case, I would recommend the Messersmith law firm. I would also like to appreciate Jen, who works with Peter. She has been wonderful in her interaction with us: prompt, polite and very professional and most importantly very helpful. I would easily give Messersmith Law Firm five stars. I see only pros in their service and no cons. All the very best to the Messersmith Law Firm in all of their sincere services to help more clients, the way they have been doing.

Best Eb1A Lawyer.

I strongly recommend Peter of Messersmith Law firm for EB1A application based on my story below. I arrived the US with my family in April 2014 on L1 visa. For this kind of situation, the normal thing that comes to mind is how to get the permanent resident status. My wife and I spoke to a lot of pe...ople even before we arrived and the situation wasn’t looking good. Few weeks after we arrived, thankfully to God and my wife, we discovered the EB1, this sounded like a good option to us but first we had to talk to the lawyers. The first lawyer we contacted gave me the below feedback. “Thank you for your reply. Individuals of extraordinary ability are considered to be the best of the best in their field and it is an eligibility category that applies to very few individuals. We suggest that you wait until your credentials have improved before filing under EB-1A. At this time it will be difficult to demonstrate that you are one of the few who has risen to the very top of your field of endeavor in order to qualify under EB-1A. Thank you for your interest and we wish you the very best.” We didn’t give up and the next lawyer I saw online happened to be Peter (I have never met Peter up to this day), we got in touch with the Messersmith law firm and talked to Jen who reassured us that I am qualified and that if we work with Peter, he can push the case through. I had the option of speaking with Peter and paying $150 or just signing the contract and have the access to speak to him anytime. We felt speaking with Peter will be a waste of time as Jen was able to answer most of our questions. On September 12 2015, I signed the agreement with Messersmith law firm. Peter got in touch same day and we started working on the Recommendation letters and all documentation that is required. It wasn’t easy getting all the documents but I gave it my best and also following Peter’s instruction to the letter. By mid-November I had submitted everything to Peter and he finished his own side of the work and ten days later, he filed with the USCIS. My priority date for the EB1A was 30th November 2015. After another 9 months of waiting, and in this time Peter and Jen were always there to respond to emails and calls, we got the I-140 approval on September 27th 2016 and all the I-485 approved same day. We received our green cards on the 7th of October. My family and I are so appreciative of Peter’s efforts and we are confident he is the best out there for your immigration needs. In summary, Peter pushed me to get all the documentation that is required, it wasn’t easy, it all changed after I signed the agreement as he wanted to make sure we got it right, on my part I made sure I complied with him as he is the expert, working hard to get all he asked for – it took 2 months. In that time, another lawyer tried to discourage me that the EB1A is meant for top professors and researchers. But with Peter’s assurance, I was never discouraged. I hope to meet Peter someday to thank him for all the support. David.

The Best Immigration Lawyer

I sincerely recommend Mr. Peter Messersmith for green card application. I was planning to apply for my green card through the EB1A. Several other immigration lawyer refused to take my case saying that it was weak and chances of approval were feeble. But Mr. Messersmith came forward and took my case. ...I applied for both EB1A and EB2-NIW. Eventually both got approved. He handled any issues promptly. He never gave any false hopes and he was very patient. He helped throughout the application process with his advice and suggestions. I'm really thankful to him for his advice and helping me obtain permanent residency.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
