Mary G. McDaniel

Hired Her after terminating another Pensacola law firm. Marry is very direct, reasonable on her fees, efficient and her staff was always available to answer my questions. She took my case which was not in order or complete and got a settlement that was good for my long term financial well being after... exiting along term marriage. Taking over from another law firm is more complicated than handling the case from start to finish. She got a mediated agreement in one day even after the opposing lawyer kept changing an agreement made before mediation. She represents her client well and is committed to your well being.

Ms. McDaniel was so actively working for me at ever meeting and with all correspondence/filings needed between meetings. She was thorough, and fought for me wholeheartedly every step of the way. If my kids or loved ones ever needed a lawyer I would want them to have Ms. McDaniel or someone just lik...e her.

After 2 years now I am still not receiving any child support, my child's father still does not come see her or help support her in any way. This is after I moved back from Kentucky after being accused of kidnapping my child because the man never saw our kid before I left & then panicked well after I ...did. He then hired a lawyer & had me served. Lost with nowhere to go and being out of state, I turn to the internet looking for a lawyer. When I hired McDaniels I signed a contract to get my things back and to establish child custody, Etc. My daughter's father & I were not married but together for 14 years & we're in a partnership. I was informed by McDaniels that there were laws that we're coming into effect for people like myself & that she could help me. Matter of fact she even let me sign a clause it into our contract before I paid my money covering this very matter. She never lifted a finger to try to get one thing of mine back or ever try to establish any of my rights as a person in a long-term relationship of this sort or to even enforce child support. Our assets we're over $400,000 & I have proof that I worked a majority of the time & paid half the bills when we were together. After time went by I had asked about acquiring my things, then I was rudely told by McDaniels that I was the one that left the household so it was like I abandoned my things. I hired McDaniels from out of state, matter of fact off of this very website! Because of the laws, I had to find an attorney in Fl. because no one in Ky. could represent me. I was super impressed at first because she got back to me on Easter, yes Easter! She seemed very professional very upbeat, and accessible she had even told me about these new upcoming laws for partners & assured me that she could help me, I was totally sold. As time went on of course my child's father was being difficult, wanting to go to court in which McDaniels could not even keep up with the court dates. I remember one time being notified while I was at work that Court had been canceled that day which was supposed to be taking place in 1 hr, I had been in contact with the child's father so I knew what was going on days before McDaniel bothered to contact me. After almost a year, I was asking McDaniels when I was going to get child support & I was told it would be faster if I went to the courthouse to go file it myself, WOW. I guess she was right because it has been over 2 years since I hired this woman & a year since I have even heard a PEEP from her. I still have over $1,000 in credit that was never used. The little amount that she did accomplish, she had wound up being an expensive file Clerk in which I told her this. Seeming to get upset she sent me this trumped-up list of charges in which she charged me $60 twice to tell me to set up my voicemail on my phone after we had been corresponding for a year through my email when in fact she had only contacted me once & WTF? What type of charge is that? Especially when contact had NEVER been a problem. I have the list of charges if anybody would like to see it, it's absolutely ridiculous! I have never felt so ripped off & taken advantage of in my life aside from what my ex has done to me. All she did was help him and his lawyer to accomplish it. If I didn't know better I would swear that they were working together. There is truly nothing this woman did that I couldn't  have done myself. Granted she saved me a lot of legwork & frustration with court paperwork & dealing with my ex's lawyer but to be honest to save $6,000 I would definitely do it all over again.  Just FYI, I worked my but off since I was 16 installing flooring! We had lots of money I worked extremely hard for. I am now on food stamps and HUD just to support us. I have wore my body out just to have a man screw me out of everything I have worked for in my entire life for then watch the legal system uphold it & then watch my lawyer do absolutely not one thing about it. I have never felt so helpless

She had my my case and was not prepared on the court date. She hired someone to help her outside the practice and did not review my case. I had a 3 inch binder and had to remind her of everything and she did not object to any of the lies. I had all the text messages and the documentation to prove it.... She was not prepared and when I was upset and cried, she yelled at me after court for crying. She charged me for hour that her paralegal had put in at $275 while paying her $30. All she cares about is money and doesn't prepare for her court case the day before.

Ms. McDaniel was my second lawyer for this situation. Initially contempt of court after contempt of court and nothing. I was having issues with picking my child up after travel across country. I called Ms. McDaniel and the emergency ex parte was filed and signed by a judge same day on a Friday. Fast ...forward some time and we are sitting in The courtroom arguing the grounds of the initial contempt of court charges against my ex, and the relocation hearing for my child. After each hearing we stood steady and came out victorious. The staff at MGM Law has been a huge help and always displayed patients. They are very professional and very well organized. With a task I thought to be close to impossible they did it and I will forever be grateful!
