Getting a divorce has been by far the hardest most painful experience of my entire life. I feel relieved, sad, happy, scared and a bunch of... other emotions all at the same time but most of all FREE! So, I know that many of your that have been through divorce know this, but for anyone that hasn't had the displeasure and is thinking about it or has been filed on and doesn't know what to do, take heed to this review. The main thing you want in an attorney is competence. They have to know what t...hey are doing. The very next thing or even 1A to this is responsiveness. I called Robin, unfortunately, way to late. I had signed my settlement document and was in the middle of negotiating an addendum to that. The settlement was agreed to and signed, just sitting on the desk of opposing counsel. My high priced Buckhead attorney at $450/hour had pretty much abandoned me. He hadn't returned any of my calls, emails, texts for over a month, when out of frustration, I called Robin. I left her a message and in 4 hours she called me back. I explained my situation to her and after an hour I was willing to hire her. She told me that she didn't think, based on where I was in the process, that she could ethically take money from me. She explained the amount of hours that a transition like this would take and in her opinion she it made no financial sense to go through that. Instead of that being the end of the conversation, she spent another twenty minutes with me on the phone, providing FREE guidance on a couple of options. She had no reason to do this. Robin is the perfect example of what constitutes a good attorney. She rescued me out of a black hole, out of the goodness of her heart and made me feel so much better about my next steps. I have no idea what her hourly rate is, but it is worth it. I am glad my divorce is almost over, but take it from me, Robin is the type of attorney, moreover, the type of person that you want in your corner.
