I have had the privilege of working with Mr. Alper throughout the past two and a half years as my ongoing counsel with respect to a number of post-conviction and post-release matters under federal criminal law. Upon first meeting Mr. Alper, along with his partner, Mr. Weintraub, I was impressed with his command of the relevant law, rapid understanding of complex circumstances, his assertive resolve to achieve necessary results, and his genuine regard for me as a person of value.
My initial engagement with Ben successfully resolved a difficult post-release issue, wherein Ben demonstrated remarkable negotiation acumen and the sharpness of reasoning that I found lacking from other legal professionals. It is clear that Ben is driven by the honorable motivation to represent a client's best interests without hesitation. My initial experience with Ben convinced me that he was the logical choice to retain on an ongoing basis as my counsel to call upon when necessary. Ben's immediate responsiveness when contacted, no matter the day or time, engenders the type of confidence that is difficult to come by in criminal defense circles.
Ben and his firm have demonstrated integrity without exception, whether it be concerning accessibility, thoroughness of work, billing, and ongoing guidance on post-conviction and post-release matters. I would recommend Ben, and his firm, without hesitation to address even the most intellectually challenging criminal defense matters at the Federal level.

Being in legal trouble for the first time, I didn't know what to expect and my nerves were all over the place. From the day I met him, Benjamin provided me with a very clear overview of what to expect and our plan of action. He was very knowledgeable about the law pertaining to my situation and knew which steps were best to get through the process with limited damage. Because of his continued communication, my mind was put at ease to the best of its ability considering the circumstances. Benjamin wasn't just a professional attorney, but he was also sincere and caring. That meant a lot to me because I needed to know I wasn't just another check for my attorney. Even after my case was closed, he contacted me for follow-up and reassured me that I was free to contact him should I have any questions. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone needing legal assistance.

Lawyers traditionally have never been my favorite class of people. Fort the most part, I have found them to be arrogant, pompous, overconfident and sadly lacking in people skills. I never thought I would ever meet one that would change that perception, but Ben did, and only those people who really know me would really know what a great accomplishment that was. I was in a situation where I had to confront and deal with some truly horrible truths about people in general; I was facing things that would make most people run away screaming in terror. Ben did not turn away; he walked with me through things that, while unimaginable, were reality. He was truthful, honest, and caring and he did not judge which was very important to me. Ben's great value to me was not that he was a great lawyer, but a greater person and I now have something I never had before - a lawyer I can honestly say became my friend.
Kyle Jarzmik, DUI and DWI Attorney
Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community
As a prosecutor, I worked a case with Ben as opposing counsel that was challenging for both of us. He handled the case intelligently, professionally, and was a great advocate for his client. It says a lot about Ben that Howard Weintraub, a renowned criminal defense attorney, promoted Ben from Associate to Partner. I endorse Ben Alper!
