I was worried about my children being able to relate and be themselves in the presence of a court-affiliated advocate. I had dreams, rather more of nightmares, of an older woman that pulled out a checklist and spoke to the children like they were robots! It is a strange time for children anyway and... this was a huge worry of mine. With Carrie it was effortless! She is beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of regardless of my case's outcome I feel blessed to simply have had her for my children. My daughter told me, "She is like a therapist that actually helps you. She was so easy to talk to that I forgot why she was here." My daughter was dancing and singing after she left! In early 2022, my family and I went through one of the most traumatic & traumatizing situations we've been through. My 38 years of living I've never been so hurt, having my family wrongfully separated by DCFS. After obtaining two different lawyers in the Atlanta area, with little to no success.../ positive progression. I actually felt like my case was moving backwards in the wrong direction. After 5 months I decided to once again look for the right lawyer for our case. On the brink of giving up , just settling for the mediocre representation i had. fortunately, I came across The law firm of Hackett & Wine (Atlanta GA, area) At first, after speaking with Ashley Wine a few times, She was external intelligent , polite, patience, and had a game plan. Unfortunately so did the 2 lawyers before her. However, Ms.Wine Not only talk the talk, she walked the walk. She showed to be super relatable to everyone involved in the court process, She was literally the glue that held everything together. Whenever there was a misunderstanding throughout the case she closed it up. She was always thinking of different angles to resolve any potential issues, She wasn't going to let the small and significant stuff getting in the way of the facts. Finally we were making positive ground on reuniting our family, I knew I had found the right lawyer. Early 2023, Our family case is officially closed out. Not only do I have my family back in order, we are more resilient, together, we realize we're going to communicate better & love harder. There's no greater feeling than being able to hold my two girls close again everyday. Since our case, I've personally been inspired to join law enforcement , go back to school, and continue to learn how to be a better person, parent, while protecting my family at the same time. Simply, I can't put into words what Hackett & Wine law firm as meant to me and my whole entire family! From the small things anytime I call getting back to me quickly, to the bigger picture reuniting my family together. I highly! recommend The law firm of Hackett & Wine, to say the least !

Carrie and her team were amazing. They are very customer focused and answered my MILLION questions and made me feel at ease during my mediation. They explained things along the way and constantly kept me informed with the process. I loved the fact that she provides a consultantion so you can get a... sense of who she is prior to hiring her and I knew right away she was going to be my attorney. I would be remiss if I didn't also call out Kevin and her other staff which offered advice and was always available for calls and answering emails. 100% would recommend and use them again (although I hope I don't need them again).

If you are looking for a family Attorney that will have empathy and compassion for your specific family case I would not recommend Attorney Hackett. Unfortunately I only spoke with Attorney Hackett one time for 5 minutes. I have never met her, nor explained my legal needs or expectations to her. ...Whenever I did reach out I got an email that she was busy ( read old complaints from 2010-2013 still true to this day). I mainly conversed with Kevin which he wasn’t helpful because he is not allowed to provide legal advice. I anticipated paying under $2,000 for my specific needs and I ended up paying over $4,000 dollars, I was asked to sign another retainer after those two documents were completed,. Kevin helped me complete my Discovery and interrogators ( which they said I have to do in their office ). I was presented with a contempt order for the other party but i found out after a month that it wasn’t filed through the court therefore my contempt was useless. When I went to the court hearing I also found out from the judge that I was supposed to sue the plaintiff not write a contempt order. Attorney Carrie Hackett’s lack of legal advice or knowledge in my case caused my family and myself a lot of emotional distress and we are still suffering to this day trying to recover. I could name a lot more discrepancies but I hope this gets my point across. If you do choose to use this firm ask a lot of questions and make sure you know what you want and need for your case.
