In reference to my previous review about 5 months ago (Review #103 on Howard's page) I had said that I would update my AVVO review as the case continued. Today I am pleased to say that I am the happiest man alive and that I owe my life and freedom to the Weintraub Team ! It has been a very long 7 mon...ths since my arrest, unsure of how my life would end up with this possible felony record hanging over my head. Throughout this time The Weintraub Team has worked tirelessly to get the results desired. A few days ago I received a call from Howard personally explaining to me that he was successful in getting the ADA to drop my case. WOW I was in complete shock ! He never made any promises to me about the case but always reassured me they would fight for me for the best result possible ! That is exactly what the TEAM has done ! I CAN'T POSSIBLY THINK OF A BETTER CHRISTMAS PRESENT AND BY FAR THE PERFECT WAY TO START A NEW YEAR ! Many THANKS go out to Howard, Ben, and Pat ! I don't believe there is another Law Firm out there that is as busy as The Weintraub Team yet stays in contact with their clients and keeps them updated as to the results of their current case as well as these guys do. In 2013 I was wrongfully accused of misdemeanor theft by a former employer. I learned that the police were looking for me and contacted Ben Alper after reading glowing reviews of the Weintraub firm online. Howard Weintraub contacted me immediately after applying that night. He was out of town doi...ng defense work in New York and assigned Ben to my case. Ben actually met with me on a holiday weekend in Atlanta at their office to go over my case. He attempted to contact the officer investigating my case and negotiate a deal where I would not have to submit to an arrest warrant, but the officer refused. Ben advised me to turned myself into the police ASAP and had an advocate monitor my situation and keep my family informed of my status as I was booked. I made bail and was released the next day. Previously to this experience, Howard and Ben were constantly calling me to make sure I was okay and advised me to the letter what to do or not do, what to say or not say, and apologized that the situation had gone that way. I felt like I had a great defense team in my corner and the jail experience, while not pleasant, was brief. Over the next six to seven months, Ben and I worked closely to gather evidence and affidavits from co-workers attesting to my innocence. Ben presented this evidence to the prosecution and convinced them to allow for Diversion, which allowed the case to be dropped without me making a plea or incurring any official charges. I completed an online shoplifting program, registered my normal volunteering as community service and paid a few small fees to the court and was let off with a nolle prosequi as part of the deal. I was left with an arrest on my record, but the agreement allowed for expungement of the arrest to happen automatically after I was processed out. At the end of the entire series of events, I walked away with no charges, no prison time and no trace of this event on my record. As Ben said, "It was like it never happened." I owe it to Ben for recommending this path to me, as he advised that it was the smartest move. I feel that was an accurate assessment. Overall, I was very pleased with the services, discussions and representation that Ben gave me. Whenever I had to make an appearance in court, Ben always managed to make the process as painless and quick as possible, which I am grateful for. No one who is innocent until proven guilty should have to spend hours in a court room while surrounded by strangers, and Ben prevented that from happening multiple times. Ben was always pleasant to talk to and seemed to actually care about my well-being. When I had a question about situations that extenuated from the chaos this situation caused me, he heard me out and offered advice and suggestions that helped me. For these reasons I recommend Ben Alper and the Weintraub Firm. They are willing to work with short notice and do their best to keep you safe in the initial, hectic times an unexpected criminal charge can bring. They follow through on the matter and will keep in touch with you even after their services are complete. You can't really ask for more.

One of the poorer choices I have made in life (driving after drinking) was thankfully followed by one of the best decisions I could have made: retaining Ben Alper. I received truly outstanding professional advice and support through a stressful and trying experience. When I had a question, communicat...ion was fast and detailed and Ben made it clear that he was always happy to discuss my case. I will also say that the entire staff at the firm were supportive and genuinely caring. They obviously fully understand the legal processes but also that you are a human being in the midst of a challenging situation. Ben negotiated with the prosecutor and my potential DUI was reduced to a reckless driving charge. He also made sure that I had completed all the requirements in the plea as determined by the prosecutor ahead of the court date, so no probation. A DUI would have had a devastating professional and personal impact so this was a great outcome.
