NOT WORTH 20K.I ws under a POM-ACT probation sentence when i caught a drug charge and My P. O wanted to violate 2yr and send me back to prison. He didn't read my original sentence and notice i was under the POM much less know much about it. So I missed the benefit of a PDC program that i could've got... a probation bond after completing in 90days simply because he didnt counter offer it to my P. O. It had to be done before my paperwork got bind over to Superior Court.He never negotiated on my behalf or did Anything Aggessively.Didnt have any answers to any questions I asked.After 90days in jail i got 15yrs serve 3 on a drug possession. A sentence i could've gotten with a court appointed attorney. He didnt even get me the POMACT with my new sentence. And told me 5min before i got my plea that i wouldn't be able to own a dog for 5yrs.If that wasn't enough i asked for a copy of my new sentence wk after court and he tells Me the judge made a mistake by not giving Me credit.The mistake ws hiring a attorney who does no homework or footwork. Back in September of 2014, my fiancé was notified that he was in violation of probation for leaving the state without permission. Because we knew this could mean potentially serious jail time as he is a registered sex offender, we began searching for a good criminal attorney. We found the Law Offic...es of Weintraub and Alper and gave them a call and we were in their office the next day which was the end of September. Howard and Benjamin were so helpful and genuinely nice we knew and had faith that they could help my fiancé. My fiancé was not taken to jail until December 2014 for the probation revocation. As soon as this happened Ben went straight to work for us by reaching out to the probation officer and gathering up all of the necessary information to explain why my fiancé did not need to be behind bars. The probation officer was going to recommend my fiancé serve six months for the violation but because Ben and Howard worked so hard the day of the court hearing (March 2015) Ben convinced the probation officer to go with three months and the probation officer said he would see what he could do. Long story short, the judge agreed to the three months and my fiancé was released a week later! Had it not been for Ben and Howard my fiancé would have had to serve six months in jail possibly more. I am forever grateful for their assistance and aggressiveness to bring my fiancé home. I would like to also add that my fiancé and I are working class citizens and could not afford all of the fees up front but Ben and Howard worked with us until we paid the balance in full. I was arrested in February 2013 on suspicion of DUI and possession of Marijuana. I did not consent to a breathalyzer test when arrested. This not being the first time I had been arrested for DUI, I knew I had to find a great lawyer to defend my rights. As this would have a 2nd DUI, Ben's negotiations may have saved my job and relieved a great strain on my marriage! I had to do 1 weekend in jail and 1 year of supervised probation, which I am gladly in the process of completing.
