Matthew James Davenport

Years ago I had a case handled by a local attorney while Mr. Davenport was the District Attorney. When I realized last year Mr. Davenport was now a criminal defense attorney I knew I wanted him to represent my current case. I knew he would be knowledgeable on both sides, however I wasn't sure how pe...rsonable he would be because of only seeing him as a District Attorney. I was very pleased to find that Mr. Davenport was personable, empathetic, and really took the time to talk with me. Matt Davenport was one of two attorneys recommended by another attorney in a Greensboro, NC to handle our son's DUI charge. I'm a father of a son that was negligently charged with DUI, based on a "bogus" breathalyzer test by Officer Hill.. He never showed my son the results of breathalyzer. My son said Hill was more interested in expiditng process and getting him to Hospital for BAC. Wish I had taken pictures of my sons ...arm, bruised and bloody, where Hospital folks had "missed vein" drawing blood. Short and long of it was that BAC came back at .06, yes, BAC .06. Yes we got charge droppped, but the arrest record has ruined my son's future, even though we had it expunged. To add insult to injury, GPD found someone who said they could "back into his BAC" or extrapolate his BAC. To say that my son was actually above the legal limit of .08! Short and long of it, not only did Matthew challenge this "fishy science", but he has helped us follow up after several years to help my son get a job with state and or with the Military. I'm 55 years old and had many dealings with Attorneys, but the attention given during my sons case and now 3 years later, still helping me to help my son, speaks volumes.
