I meet with Mr. Kurts recently to get some advice on a criminal case for a family member that lived out of North Carolina. I knew that no attorney in Raleigh, NC would normally want to waste time on a case that was from out of the state. I tried to meet with a few attorneys and offered to pay an hourly fee. Mr. Kurts was the only attorney I could get that would agree to meet with me. You will noticed almost all of the others try to stick you with a legal assistant. This firm allowed me to speak with a licensed attorney. He listened carefully to all the information and gave direct and honest feedback. I found him very knowledgeable, approachable, kind and honest. In the end I tried to pay him and he refused to take my money. The case is still unresolved but I thank him greatly for his sound advice.
So grateful for Kurtz and Blum by helping with my speeding ticket with ease! They kept me updated through mail and whenever I called they pulled up my info very quickly to let me know how things were. They were so easy to work with! I will use them in the future if I need them! A+
I have represented people charged with Murder; Rape, Drug Trafficking, Felonies and Misdemeanors including Drug Offenses, Sex Offenses, DWIs and Traffic Offenses all the way down to simple Speeding Charges. I practice throughout North Carolina as a trial lawyer, having tried cases in District and Superior Court. I have also handled appeals in the NC Court of Appeals. My firm, Kurtz & Blum PLLC has defended people on Minor Infractions and Crimes through high profile Felonies and Homicides.
I have handled many DWI cases over almost 2 decades. Many of my clients were charged with DWI for drugs as well as alcohol. I have also represented people charged with murder related to driving while impaired. In 2008, I represented a client charged with 2nd degree murder for a DWI related hit and run. It was his third DWI and he had confessed before speaking with me. It required a tremendous effort on my firm's part but we successfully kept him out of prison.
For over 19 years I have handled cases of domestic violence ranging from simple assault to assault on a female to homicides related to domestic violence. I have handled domestic violence restraining orders as well. Given the rise of false allegations in the context of divorce or child custody cases, I have also gained experience working with Lynn Prather, our domestic associate, in addressing both the civil and criminal sides of the client's case in a manner that best served our client's needs
Computer forensics, or electronically stored evidence, has become pervasive in white collar criminal defense. I have a thorough understanding of the technology used by both forensic examiners as well as our clients. This tech savvy background allows me to quickly sort through forensic data and avoid going down the multitude of forensic rabbit holes that can easily consume the less technologically inclined. A firm technological skill set has become a must for competent white collar defense.
Though not my primary practice personally, my firm, Kurtz & Blum PLLC has handled cases involving Car Accidents, On the Job Injuries or Workers Compensation Cases, Legal Malpractice, Products Liability and even Copyright Infringement Cases. As an Experienced Trial Lawyer, I personally have been deeply involved in several of these matters. We have Litigated these cases throughout North Carolina in both State and Federal Court.
For over 2 decades as a criminal defense lawyer I have fought tirelessly for my clients in cases ranging from drug crimes to murder. Call me at Kurtz & Bllum for aggressive and experienced representation. At Kurtz & Blum, we're in your corner.
