My wife and I purchased a vehicle from a Virginia dealership that one would believe was reputable. After purchase it was discovered that the dealer actually didnt have the right to sell it due to its lease return condition. After 85 days and a rather large bank draft, we never received the appropriat...e paperwork to obtain certificate of title. With one phone call to Mr. Gayle I was armed with enough knowledge that the dealership admitted their faults, overnighted the paperwork, and paid for my license fees due to my inconvenience. Ms. Jennifer was amazing to work with and the entire firm helped me immensely. Should I ever end up in the same situation, the only thing I would do different is I wouldnt wait the 85 days to contact Mr. Gayle and his associates. I worked and failed at getting my paperwork for 85 days. Within 30 hours of calling Mr. Gayle, it was being overnighted to my address. All because I knew what to say. Thanks ya'll. While I did not retain Mr. Gayle, or his firm, The Consumer Law Group, their shared experience via the website and a free phone consultation gave me the knowledge that allowed me to finalize a car deal that could have become an ugly lawsuit. After being subject to what is known to car dealers as a... "Spot Delivery," I was able to negotiate back to my original contract, and even had all the shady warrantees and service contracts, that I did not fully understand, refunded directly to the lending bank, and removed from my loan. One unexplained service contract was for $3000.00 and only covered years 5-8 of ownsership of the car. In addition, it was for that dealer only, 3 hours away from me. None of that was explained to me after sitting through the dealer's pressure cooker for 4 hours. Mr. Gayle, helped me call the dealer's bluff and they folded, because they didn't want to be forced to return my down oayment and trade-in and accept the car back in a condition that they could not sell as new, since I had been driving it for a week. Entering into an out of state sale for us with Virgina's #1 RV dealership we ran into some contract issues related to the adequacy of the product to be delivered. After several calls to local attorney offices on a Friday afternoon to no avail, we called Consumer Law, John Gayle Jr. Although he was u...navailable until Monday Pam was attentive, listened to our situation conveying true concern. We were able to talk through enough of the situation that although she was not comfortable giving specific advice we were confident in our position. A followup call on Monday involved Laura, who was given a synopsis of the situation, she conferred with Pam. With a specific set of question, the situation was discussed with Attorney Gayle. Within an hour, we received a return phone call from Laura with complete answers to the questions. Laura requested a call after the next meeting with the dealership on Friday with an update, concerns/issue or for support.
