Luke Joseph Nichols

I got a reckless driving by speed (over 100) on top of a previous one. It looked very bad. Spoke to three attorneys that day prior to Mr. Nichols and the feeling was not there. Then Luke returned my call at the end of a day and spend 45 minutes on a phone with me. He gave me more information about my... options than all three attorneys combined. His fees were higher than of other guys but it felt right. And so the journey that lasted 8 months began. I was facing jail, huge penalties and licence suspension but due to Mr. Nichols work I got off with minor fee. That's it. Just unbelievable.

5/5. He is a very personable family man who is very knowledgeable with the law. I found Mr. Luke Nichols by searching on the web after investigating what kind of charges I would be facing after accidentally passing a school bus. After doing so I was terrified of the possible fines and points on my li...cense. I found his firm on the first or second link I found after googling VA lawyers. Mr. Nichols assured me on the phone that I would be okay and provided me a concise list of steps to take before attending my court date. I provided everything he needed in the email and registered for a VA driver improvement class. I am glad I took the precautionary steps he recommended. When my day in court came, Mr. Nichols was there promptly and was able to reduce my citation from a "reckless driving" (with the possibility of $500 fine and 6 points) to an "improper driving" charge for $50 + court fees. Needless to say I was elated with the outcome. I recommend Luke Nichols and his firm to anyone facing a serious traffic/criminal charge in Virginia.

My daughter was charged with doing 102 in a 70 MPH area in Warrenton county Virginia. We retained one lawyer and pled guilty in District court and she received a sentence of 12 days in jail with fines and suspension. We felt that the penalty was too much and retained Luke for an appeal to the Facquie...r Circuit court. First, his fee was very reasonable for this case and after discussion we agreed that a jury trial was the best approach. On court day Luke was early and we were able to discuss strategy. He was well prepared and had gone over a number of details with my daughter. During the trial he was impressive in his knowledge of the police radar equipment and the testing/calibration methods and asked a number of questions that the police officer was unable to answer. He was also able to find and exploit a flaw in the police officer's testimony. End result, my daughter was found not guilty and we were extremely pleased with both Luke's performance and the outcome, which, to say the least, was a remarkable court achievement. I would highly recommend Luke if you have a traffic case in Virginia and please don't be too quick to plea, fight for your desired outcome, with Luke representing you..

If you have an Aggressive/Reckless Charge/Ticket and you are smart, you know you need a lawyer, so the only question left for me was who do I go with, there are so many lawyers and searching on the net is even worst cause there are hundreds to choose from and how are we suppose to know who to go wit...h or what review to believe. For me, well I got lucky, I had worked with Mr. Green before from Nichols & Green and he did a great job on my 87mph in a 55mph zone, aka 22mph over the speed limit, so this time I went back to what I already had great experience with. This time however my ticket was in Louden county and Mr. Green said that Mr. Nichols had the best relationships in Louden and it would be in my best interest to go with him, Mr. Green had already won my trust in the past so I had no problem going with his recommendation. Right away from the first visit in their office, Mr. Nichols got involved, made me feel comfortable by explaining the whole picture of what I was looking at as far as the charge, the possible outcomes, and most importantly different kinds of defense we could move forward with. I have to say I walked in the office very upset and worried about this charge/ticket and I left feeling very informed and comfortable with my counsel and the different options of defense I had which all led to an outcome that was much better than the Aggressive/Reckless charge. Mr. Nichols outlined a path to the out come I had said was acceptable to me, which were couple of different classes, some community service(optional), and got some letters of credentials myself. I did as Mr. Nichols said and completed the classes he asked for, didn't get to do any community service but Mr. Nichols had already told me that this was optional and in my specific case it may not have mattered. Mr. Nichols was very helpful all the time and anytime I needed assistance their front desk was very helpful, specially as to what classes to take and where to take them, the DIP program they referred me to was the lowest cost one I found and it was on-line which made it very easy cause I'm working all the time and all kinds of hours. Any time I need to speak with Mr. Nichols he either was available an took my call right away or he was in court and I left a message and he got back to me. On my court date Mr. Nichols showed up early before the court room was ready, we discussed the path, he would first talk to the officer and see if he could prove his case, if yes then we would try and see if we could drop it to a traffic infraction instead. The prosecutor turned out to be somebody that Mr. Nichols had great relationship so he let me know that he felt very comfortable with the prosecutor we had and right off the bat I was feeling good. Once the court started he let me know that he would be talking with prosecution and then the officer to see what deal he could work out cause the officer could prove his case. He then met with the prosecution which went well and then he had to meet with the officer to see what we could do, long story short Mr. Nichols got it down to a traffic infraction with a $50 penalty vs the $1000 penalty I was originally facing not to mention the jail time, and possible license suspension. With my driving record I was amazed ( my driving record is like 6 pages long ), I was very happy to have this outcome and it lifted a great deal of weight off my shoulders. At the end I believe it was the relationships Mr. Nichols had with the prosecutor and officer and his knowledge of law plus my classes that got me the outcome I wanted. So do I recommend Mr. Nichols and Mr. Green? you bet, why wouldn't I? they have proven themselves to me and represented me and my interest and got me the outcomes I wanted each time, they were very friendly and understanding with no judgment, you are not going to get a lecture from these guys on what you did wrong, you will just get represented and your rights looked after.
