After 19 years and earning more than my spouse I was terrified of the divorce process. Deborah Brand discussed every option in my custody case and let me know the costs involved before she did any work so I was not surprised with a huge bill. Even though there was a change to the custody law which required much more legal research on her part, she did not tell that I should simply "acc...ept what was in my current custody order and get over it" or "I need to be more flexible" as other attorneys had that I paid outrageous amount of money. I would not want any other attorney to negotiate on my behalf. She is well respected in the legal community and is clearly at ease and well prepared in front of custody conciliators and judges. My only regret was that I did not retain her from the very beginning. I could have saved years and thousands of dollars in attorney fees.
