My law practice is concentrated in Family Law, but my firm also handles Personal Injury, Wills, Contracts, Bankruptcy, Commercial Transactions, Entertainment Law, and Civil Litigation with offices located at 310 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. The firm is dedicated to preserving and protecting families.

I also offer diversified mediation and arbitration services through Maribeth Blessing, Mediation & Arbitration, L.L.C. to include resolving family, neighborhood, business and elder disputes. I am an Advanced Practitioner with the Association of Conflict Resolution with training completed at the National Center For Mediation Education, a member of the Pennsylvania Council of Mediators, the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of ACR, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. I am also affiliated with Divorce Done Right and was featured on the Channel 6, ABC nightly news and in the March, 2007 issue of Philadelphia Magazine, in the article, AThe Divorce My arbitration training was received from the American Bar Association Section Of Family Law.

Additionally, I am past president of Collaborative Family Law Affiliates, and presently conduct yearly training sessions for other lawyers interested in resolving divorces without litigation. I am a member of Strathmore=s Who=s Who, a life member of the National Registry of Who=s Who, and was awarded the 2003 Outstanding Service Award by Widener School of Law.

I often receive appointments from the Montgomery Bench as Arbitrator, Special Master and Guardian Ad Litem. As a Child Advocate for MCAP and a volunteer with Legal Aide, I believe in giving back to the community on a pro bono basis. As a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section, I was a former Council member and now serve as the Liaison between the PBA Family Law Committee and the PBA Children=s Rights Committee. I am also a member of the PBA Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee and its Collaborative Law Sub-committee. With a background in teaching, I am also interested in continuing legal education and organizations promoting legal tutelage, and as such was also President of the Doris Jonas Freed American Inn of Court, now serving as Counselor. Additionally, I served as a member of the MBA Judiciary Committee,as well as a Director for the Montgomery Bar Association, a member of the Montgomery County Bar Trial Lawyers Section and former Chair of the Family Law Section, as well as a member of the Mediation Advisory Panel for Montgomery County.

I love children, boating, painting, golf, reading and my special dog, Loki Tyr, who is a service dog for my husband, and a member of my office family, and who serves as a comfort to my clients. My family is everything to me, and I love being able to spoil my grandchildren.

Fantastic divorce lawyer

A top notch attorney with years of experience, personality, and professionalism

I first met Maribeth Blessing in 2016 when I was preparing for my divorce. She was speaking at a Second Saturday event, which provides women with information on the divorce process. She was professional, yet compassionate, and I could tell she knew the law. I spoke with her after the session and briefly discussed my situation. She asked me to call her when I was ready to make a move on the divorce. Nine months later, I was in her office, and I asked endless questions, for which she had all the answers. Dealing with a narcissist spouse was difficult, and at best, unpredictable, but Maribeth coached me through the process of filing for divorce and also how to explain to my spouse the different levels of getting to the divorce. She fully advocated for any way to minimize my legal costs, and thoroughly explained each level of resolution in the court system. From the time I filed until I received my final decree, it was a little over two years. Maribeth was with me through it all. She worked hard to keep my legal fees at the minimum for each step of the way, and gave me options. We did keep trying to settle the case, but the ex wasn't having it. Maribeth stayed steadfast. She was my rock at the exclusive possession hearing in which we prevailed, and she stood by me for each hearing after that. She is a master at what she does, and it is easy to see why she is well-respected by court officials and judges. Maribeth supported me to very end, and then some. She kept going and did her best to make sure I got what I needed to support myself and my kids. She is very proactive and so thorough that other attorneys fully trust her work without batting an eye. I can't imagine this journey without her, and am glad we got through it together. Her partner, Gwen, is also a dynamo, and goes the extra mile to turn over every leaf and come up with "outside the box" strategies and ideas. I am so grateful for her guidance and support through a hellish two years. The best divorce lawyer

Maribeth handled my divorce so amazingly and with genius. She is legally intuitive. She knows what is best for your situation and executes without hesitation and with your best interest at heart. She is passionate about her work and is compassionate towards her clients. She acts promptly and communicates very well and very thoroughly. My divorce was emotionally ugly and difficult as they mostly all are, but she took the pain of the legalilty out of it and was and Is included in the support system who has gotten me though this.

Extremely knowledgable and helpful

I consulted Maribeth to help me understand my recent custody order. She had an answer back to me the same day. Not only did she answer my questions, but she explained the entire order in great detail. I couldn't have asked for a better attorney!

Maribeth really helped me with all my family law and custody issues. From the first day I contacted her office via phone she made me feel very comfortable. I always felt as though my needs were put first and I was treated as a friend rather than a number. One Of The Best Lawyers Around

After seeking for a divorce attorney and having consultations with at least three other attorneys, I was feeling skeptical about where to turn, until I sat down to google for "Best Divorce Attorneys Near Me". A "Lawyer's Lawyer"!

I was a PA-licensed attorney for ten years when Maribeth handled my divorce case. Maribeth was very respectful of my legal skills, while at the same time effectively guiding through the areas of divorce and property law that were foreign to me. Maribeth was a tireless and highly effective advocate, particularly matching wits and advocacy skills with a crafty (and somewhat dishonest) opposing counsel. Maribeth helped me save legal fees where she knew I could provide my own counsel reviewing documents -- yet at the same time she saved me countless cost overall by driving my divorce case to settlement fairly quickly. I have come across many family law attorneys in my lengthy legal career, and I have never encountered one as skillful, masterful in her area of expertise, and collegial as Maribeth Blessing.

A lawyer with a heart and soul

From my initial evaluation with Maribeth, she intuitively understood the dynamics of my relationship with my children's father and realized I had been badly mistreated. I hired her soon after. Over the next three years, my ex threw every kind of low blow threatening, nasty legal maneuver at me that he could. Maribeth was there the whole way to defend me, protect my rights, and block his efforts to intimidate me. She never did something she knew I was perfectly capable of doing myself, or engaged in any other attempts to gauge me for more money. Initially, I was very anxious, a typical traumatized individual. She responded to every email and phone call quickly, knowing that I was prone toward panicking. She always accepted the payments I was able to make and never told me that she would not represent me if I did not pay in full. She realized I was making every good faith effort to pay her, and she worked with me as a result. Eventually, my custody trial lasted several years with 6 trial dates. Maribeth represented me at each trial date fully prepared, deeply knowledgeable of the issues and evidence at hand. The case was eventually ruled in my favor and my ex filed an appeal. Though this was not her field of expertise, she did an enormous amount of personal research, in order to continue to represent me to the best of her abilities. This woman takes enormous pride in her work and genuinely cares about her clients. As a result of her efforts, my custody was maximized. My ex's appeal was dismissed. Most importantly, through our ongoing legal battles, my ex lost his ability to continuously harass and bully me through the legal system , knowing I have a top lawyer, proactive, and very knowledgeable about the law, protecting my best interests. I became much stronger and was able to stand up to him in ways that I had never felt able to do before. Maribeth not only saved my life, but protected my children's future because this process completely changed the dynamics of my relationship with my ex. I am able to stand up to him to protect the best interest of my children. Today, I am happier than I have ever been. I have custody of my children. We live our lives, and I no longer have the specter of an abusive person hanging over me. Maribeth literally put her heart and soul into helping me get out of a nightmare, and I will never forget how much she was there when I needed her the most. I strongly recommend this lawyer to anyone. She is honest, passionate about doing the right thing, and takes great pride in her work.

Extraordinary Attorney

I can't say enough about Maribeth Blessing. She has not only represented me as my attorney but has also through the time spent on my case, become my friend. My divorce was one of the most complicated cases that Maribeth and her office had ever encountered. My first meeting with her took over 5 hours. Who spends that kind of time with a client, in today's world? Due to the complications of the case, it was not uncommon for another attorney in her firm and staff to sit in on meetings. I spent weeks in her office having been given an office to work in and an intern so that I could create a time line of events and exhibits for the court. By doing my own data collection for the case I was able to save on some of the legal fees that were being accrued. She championed my case through unbelievable obstacles. First, my previous counsel had filed the wrong document and didn't correct it, which seriously impacted the case. Then opposing counsel slandered my character every chance they could. During the process, both my husband and her husband passed away within weeks of each other. The death of my husband during the divorce process created a whole new set of issues that had to be worked through. Even in her own grief she always answered e-mails and kept the case moving forward. I was always kept in the loop of information, had my questions answered and knew what was to be expected. Her entire office was always professional, very helpful and became a source of emotional support when everything seemed so overwhelming....Thank you! Maribeth and staff, for helping me through one of the most difficult times in my life.
