Alfonso Caprara

My family hired Alfonso in February of 2017 to take care of my parents immigration case. After leaving the case in his hands, I notice a significant time had passed by without any word from him or his office. Every time I would call the office, he was never available to talk to me. Once I finally was... able to meet with him in November of 2020, he admitted to completely forgetting about my parents case. He offered a refund, but it's July 2022 and we have not received a refund or heard from him personally yet. I have not been able to get in contact with Alfonso through calls or emails. My parents are completely heartbroken and given up on their dreams of getting their citizenship.

In Oct 28, 2021, I have my first appointment with Mr. Caprara related to immigration proceedings. The interview went Amazing, he told me, I quote "You have yourself a Lawyer" end quote. He made me feel so well that all my worries about my case dropped instantly. (I was charged $100) The follow up wa...s a second interview that he said it will be done by phone (he will call me) (Great) Also since I didn't have my date in court yet, he told me to contact him by email in the case I receive something. I was promised that they will respond quickly. A few days later I received the letter from the court with the date we should present the case which is January 4th, 2022. I emailed him several times and none of my emails were answered. I called several times and the representatives he has answering the phone (I think they are interns) couldn't get me in touch with Mr. Caprara and no directions to follow whatsoever. Well, I thought "no problem" I have a second appointment (by phone) with him so that day I will tell him. The day of the second appointment arrived and I didn't receive the promised phone call nor emails so I called several times with no success, the only solution I got from the person I spoke with was to get me a second appointment with another Lawyer (Another $100) within the same office for Dec 14 two weeks before appearing in court and with absolutely no guarantee he will take my case. At this moment I realized that while I was waiting in his office on my first interview there were several customers calling desperately seeking Mr. Caprara and the personnel responding the phone calls were telling them exactly what they are now telling me. I quote "Mr. Caprara is attending other customers, he is not available at this moment. I will pass your message to him" end quote. I'm wondering how many customers that went through the first interview and paid $100 never got to the second interview like me. This is just not acceptable. I also would like to clarify that this review is not to question Mr. Caprara professional career, knowledge and years of expertise that for sure he has under his belt but to share the pain that some of his customers are going through due to the fact that he doesn't have the capacity to represent all of the customers that he promised he will represent but just a portion of them. This has been a waste of my short time that I could hire a Lawyer that would not just promise but get the job to completion.

I am so fortunate to have had Mr. Caprara as my attorney over 20 years. I came to this country to study in the 1990s. After graduating from college, I was ready to start my career as a music teacher/musician. However, my H-1B petition was denied. I called every immigration law office in Philadelp...hia listed in the Yellow Pages and he is the only attorney who returned my call, took my case seriously and offered help. In a few weeks my case was approved and ever since, he has successfully worked on numerous cases on my behalf. Without his help, there was no chance for me to stay and work in this country for such a long time. He is simply the best immigration lawyer and most trustworthy person l know. His hard work and dedication are greatly appreciated. I am also grateful for his expertise and knowledge. Mr. Caprara has my highest recommendation.

I cannot begin to say how grateful myself , wife, and family are to Alfonso Caprara . I got into trouble for a DUI before I was able to get my green card finalized . At the time we were in terrible distress. I was locked up and held on immigration charges in York county prison. From the first time I ...met him he had a wealth of knowledge on every aspect of what the situation was and how to best approach it. I was 100 percent honest and upfront with him and he was also just as honest . My case took 3 years to complete but this was by no means Alfonso's fault . We did everything together in a timely manner when the paper work was required. The reason for the long period was the complexity of my case and the processing times with USCIS. I have already refered Alfonso to a number of people and whole heartedly will do it for years to come. Understanding that he is a very busy man he always got in touch with us promptly if we had any questions, problems, etc.. Anyone who hires Alfonso is getting by far the most experienced and caring person to help them through some of the most difficult times of their lives . Quite simply, Al is the man. I have so much appreciation for him, this review doesn't do him justice.

In February 2013, my husband was arrested for a DUI. Due to him overstaying his Visa, he was unable to be released and was held by immigration. We were referred to Al by a family friend, and he was with us from day one. Unfortunately, my husband was not granted a Stay of Removal, and was deported in ...March 2013. We immediately filed the necessary paperwork, and to no fault of Al (simply an overall flaw of our current Immigration System) this took an extremely long time to process and get approved. However, whenever I would call for an update, Al would provide me with the most recent information he had. During the close to 18 month process for the I-130, I was in touch with Al many times. He took the time to get to know me and was truly emotionally invested in our case. When our I-130 was finally approved, Al guided us through the next steps. He explained what we should expect for the upcoming interview, and continued to answer the many questions I had on a weekly basis. My husbands interview went well, but we knew that he would not be granted a Visa right away, as we would need to file an I-212 and an I-601. Knowing this, he already began working on them and was able to file them quickly. We waited a bit longer to receive the two waivers, but with Al's efforts to make sure all supporting documents were provided, our waivers were approved without any problem. Al then prepared us for the last and final steps of the process. This involved retrieving my husband's passport, preparing for his return to the US, and what to expect at Customs in the airport. Ironically, my husband returned to the US three years to the day that he was deported. We did not expect the process to take as long as it did, but we knew we had an attorney that was doing all he could to get us through the process. I am sorry that there are people on this website who did not have the same experience that I had, but I can make an educated guess that that is not beacuse of any negligence on Al's behalf. We were completely upfront with Al from the beginning, and this allowed him to support our individual case with the exact attention it needed. We will recommend Al to anyone that we know that is in need of his expertise, commitment, and courtesy. If I could give more than five stars, I would!
