Excellent Attorney

I am so grateful to this excellent attorney and his team (thanks, Jessica!) for all their hard work on my behalf. Please, if you are ever contacted by someone from PNAP or some other State Board-related entity, please speak with Richard first. He is very familiar with such issues, knows exactly wha...t drives these inquiries, and can guide you through the process. I was absolutely terrified in getting a letter from PNAP and had no idea of how to proceed from there. Richard explained things clearly, did not "sugarcoat" or mince his words, but spoke clearly and compassionately, which went a long way to calming my fears. He outlined a path through what seemed insurmountable to me, and I followed his directions. Thank you so much, Richard and Jessica, for helping me and keeping me focused on the process and on to a successful conclusion. Thanks again from a grateful client!

I appreciate every review, even from a client who wishes to remain confidential. I, however, know who is this client and the complexity of the issues. As we emerge from a covid lock down, the health care boards in Pennsylvania and New Jersey are ramping up an already over zealous enforcement environment. Investigators are emailing, calling, and showing up at my clients' houses. Whether in Erie, Scranton, Camden, Passiac, Philadelphia all of the counties the health care boards want everyone to know they are on the job and policies impaired health care professionals. Call me with your questions.

Simply The BEST

I hired Richard in March 2021, after being walked out of my place of employment due to suspension of my RN License. I was charged with first time DUI in 2019. I received ARD and DUI has been subsequently expunged. The PA Board of Nursing suspended my license for failure to appear at a Mental Healt...h and Physical Exam set up by the board. I never received notification of mandatory exam from the board. After the shock of being walked out of job, suspended without pay, and risk of termination from my state job for practicing without a license, I went down the rabbit hole on internet. My attorney that represented me for DUI required 4000.00 retainer upfront to represent me for RN License suspension. That was a no-go for me since I was now basically broke. I searched attorney reviews for hours and hours. I came across Richard's website and read countless reviews. I figured, if anyone can help me out of my no-win situation, it had to be Richard. I knew Richard would probably require a retainer fee that I could never begin to afford, but I was desperate for help and left an inquiry on his website. Within a couple minutes, I received a call from Richard. I was in shock at how quickly he read my inquiry and reached out to me. Richard told me exactly what he needed to file immediately. He provided me with his fee, allowed me to pay an affordable down payment, and agreed to accept remaining fee on a monthly payment plan beginning AFTER I returned to work and started receiving pay again. Richard instructed me to provide exactly what the PA BON would require in order for him to file a Motion for Reconsideration for license. He was meticulous in details and I forwarded docs as requested. Richard has personal connections to attorneys on the board. He filed a motion with the board within a couple days. The board reinstated my license within 3 weeks, and allowed me to reschedule and attend the Mental Health and Physical Exam I missed after DUI charge. I got back to work immediately! Appointment was scheduled a month later. Richard prepped me for the exam, and forwarded information to review to fully prepare me prior to meeting with the MD for exam. I did exactly as Richard instructed me during exam, and left feeling confident. I was praying for my case to be closed. It took the MD about 3 months to finalize his report. Once sent to the board, the board closed my case! I never imagined I would ever keep my job at a state prison, after having my RN License suspended for failure to report to mandatory fit for duty exam, and have my case closed with the BON. Who does this???? Richard does. If you are reading this review, do yourself a favor. Just contact Richard. He'll guide you the rest of the way effortlessly.

Denice's case reflects the problem of Covid, the 2020 mail sabotage (for voting but it effected the entire country for everything), and the trigger happy Board of Nursing acting to protect the pubic from any and every threat from this planet and others. My professional relationships with the health care board prosecutors -- Nursing, Medical, Pharmacy, and all others -- is based upon sound legal work, sound legal experience, and a basic legal professionalism. I live by my word. I honor every a verbal agreement between a prosecutor, whether it be criminal or licensing board, and myself. If I agree that my client will do something in a case -- they do it! If I am requesting a professional courtesy for a client, I extend the same courtesy to that prosecutor. Rescheduling evaluations, continuing court dates, explaining why evaluations are missed, or agreeing to a 2nd evaluation is part of the professionalism and respect I both give and receive by the Pennsylvania and New Jersey health care prosecutors and specific prosecutor in Denice's case. I have a great saying, "I took me 20 years to know how to fix your problem in 10 days." Again, my criminal trial experience and licensing board experience works to the benefit of every client, from every state confronted with a Pennsylvania or New Jersey health care board prosecution! Call me to discuss your case. Denice did and you can tell she is happy!

Best decision I made

I reached out to Mr. Hark regarding the issue with my professional license. He took the time to hear me out completely. He gave me professional advice and a plan on what needed to be done to obtain my license. He was wonderful to work with, he was prompt in getting back to me with my questions and co...ncerns, gave me strength during stressful times, and his professionalism is applaudable. Mr. Hark knew the right people to connect to which he had worked in the past with; which was very helpful. I am so pleased with your service and would definitely be recommending your firm to any person that maybe in need.

This review is especially rewarding. This client had a very specific Pharmacy Board issue referred by another attorney. Board counsel sometimes work for two or three Boards. My experience with this Board counsel allowed me to help this client without a hearing, but with some very efficient and vigorous legal research and briefs directly to the Board without a hearing. The Pharmacy Board matters are much more complicated with a more conservative Board based upon its responsibilities. This client's location in north eastern Pennsylvania did not matter. Whether she was from Pittsburgh, Erie, Gettysburg, Philadelphia, the same legal issue could arise with the same legal result. She is using her out of state pharmacy license and received her Pennsylvania pharmacy license. Thanks for letting me help.

Awesome

Mr Hark is very intelligent and knowledgeable Lawyer. He gave me the confidence and all questionnaire to pass MPE. I won my case because of Mr Hark. Thanx a million Mr Richard, you made it possible.

I pride myself on ethically preparing clients for the Mental and Physical Evaluations (MPE). While i do not have a questionnaire, I have attended many of these evaluations and I am able to comprehensively counsel clients on what are the issues of the evaluation, the key family or personal histories to recall, and accurately set forth all past medical care. Please call me to discuss your case. Beth did and you can tell, she is very happy.

Physical Therapy License

I contacted Richard after learning that my professional physical therapy license may be in jeopardy, and I am certainly glad I did! Richard is prompt in his responses, clear in his communication of the plan, and was very encouraging for a positive outcome on the case during a very stressful time. H...is experience in these situations was clear, as he knew exactly what to expect at each turn. To further complicate the situation, I was then living out of state, but still trying to protect my PA license should I need to return to the state to practice. Richard took the time to understand the nuances of my situation, was available to answer questions as they arose, & provided sound advice throughout, until we received a positive outcome! I highly recommend Richard for any issues pertaining to your professional license!

I represent many Pennsylvania licensees now living in Florida, California, Arizona, New York, New Jersey, Washington State, New Mexico, and Colorado. These clients have an inactive Pennsylvania license to practice nursing, medicine, physical therapy, pharmacy, or any other health care practice. They either went to school in PA, getting their initial training or post-graduate license here, but are now living and working elsewhere. Criminal or impairment investigations in other states will affect even an inactive Pennsylvania health care license. We live in an opioid, medical or legal marijuana, post- pandemic alcohol drunken environment. Pennsylvania is noticing any licensee with legal issues to respond to their orders, petitions, and discipline. Call me to let me help you sort out the long-term issues that can and will affect your nursing, pharmacy, medical license. Adam did and look what happened to him--NOTHING.

"I have known Richard Hark for years and he is an outstanding attorney. While he handled criminal defense matters for many years, he has shifted his practice focus to administrative law where he assists professionals (nurses, doctors, lawyers, etc) when they are being disciplined by their respective licensing board. This is usually as a result of contacts with the criminal justice system or drug/alcohol problems. Despite the shift in practice, the outcomes are the same. I have seen him successfully fight the most serious criminal charges and I now refer professional clients to him when their criminal case overlaps with their professional license. He has become extremely skilled in a very sensitive area where clients' livelihoods are on the line. This is no easy task but Richard's combination of legal smarts, common sense, and empathy for his client's plight make him a perfect fit. I strongly endorse Mr. Hark."
