For the professional, I counsel Pennsylvania doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and all other licensees facing disciplinary actions before Pennsylvania's twenty six different state regulatory boards. My clients live both in and outside Pennsylvania and face disciplinary actions against their Pennsylvania professional license. My website and blogs discuss my professional license defense strategies. From criminal convictions that affect a license to work place employment investigations and client based complaints to the licensing boards, I handle all types of disciplinary actions. In this age of hightened scrutiny of all professionals regarding their personal or professional conduct, Pennsylvania's licensing Boards take any complaint or behavioral misteps seriously. Please visit my web site and blogs at .
I also represent individuals in a wide variety of criminal prosecutions. My experience includes defending clients in state and federal grand jury proceedings, perjury and obstruction charges, health care and tax fraud claims, robbery and drug related crimes, gun violence cases, and computer and internet crimes. I counsel clients in connection with grand jury investigations and prosecutions by the U.S. Department of Justice and various U.S. Attorney’s offices across the country, and the Pennsylvania and New Jersey offices of the Attorney General.

State’s case dismissed
Unfortunately, I got a non-work related DUI 2 years ago.Of course I got the letter demanding that I go for an evaluation and I did. The medical director at this facility told me that perhaps “I would get it this time” Yeah, two months and they had a bed available right away. This was not gonna be g...
Clients call with fear and hope. Frustration and and concern for their hard won health care license is a pervasive feeling. I make sure everyone either gets, keeps, or get back their health care license. My clients call from Erie, Altoona, Scranton, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New Jersey, California, and Georgia. My reviews and my website all speak for themselves. Everyone understands the need more help and after I help them they know how a good attorney fixes and gets they case resolved. I am responsive, astute, patient, and pro-active. I fix problems -- not create them. This is why my reviews are so long. Everyone has big licensing problems and the can't believe that I fixed the issue. Call me and do not sign any PHP PHMP document.

Excellent Attorney to handle licensing issues
I hired Richard on 2 separate occasions. I was in a lot of trouble with the PA Board of Nursing and there is NO WAY that I would have been able to deal with my situation without Richard's help. I was crippled with fear and ready to voluntarily surrender my license. Richard calmed me down, redirect...
William's issue were extensive but solvable. Patience, diligence, and William following my advice allowed him to fully realize his license reinstatement. I have a plan, process, and path forward for every suspended licensee. It does not matter that I am in South Eastern Pennsylvania and William lives in Pittsburgh. I represent clients from many states and all over Pennsylvania. Erie, Lancaster, York, Luzerne, Scranton, Philadelphia are just a few locations where my client's live. Thank you for letting me help you William.

Chris
I was a recent nursing grad with 2 DUIs and a possession of marijuana charge hanging over my head from 7 years ago. I understood when the time came for me to register for NCLEX, the PA Board of Nursing would force me to be evaluated for the PNAP program. Every other attorney that I spoke with told me...
I help medical, pharmacy, dental, and nursing students with adolescent legal mistakes apply for and secure their hard earned licenses. Pennsylvania licensing boards typical refer applications with "legal issues" to PNAP, the PHP, PHMP, or SARPH, for review and evaluation to "supplement" the record. DO NOT DO THIS. Whether you live in Erie (medical school is LECOM), Philadelphia, Lackawanna, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Altoona, or beyond if you get a conditional denial of your license application with a PHMP evaluation referral call me to discuss. Chris did and read her review.

Best of the Best!!
Over a year ago, our family was dealt with a lawsuit where my dad was asked not just to leave his own company, but pay huge lump sum in compensation to the remaining partners or face jail time. We were lost and was on this website reading reviews because our attorney at the time said we have no fight...
Jaimon and his family were confronted with a major civil law suit for breaching a partnership agreement. The Plaintiff's attorney who sued them merely did what his client said, not looking truly into the facts of the case. My trial experience, corporate partnership dispute knowledge tied into my extensive health care practice allowed me to better understand the false claims against Jaimon's family. We counter sued -- claiming fraud and breach of the partnership agreement. Depositions of two plaintiff partners -- the ones that started the lawsuit after they kicked him out of the now thriving business -- revealed they were not credible. These two guys apparently were never cross examined and tested for the truth of what really happened. Well, in the end, the two suing partners paid Jaimon's father over six figures and attorney's fees. The defendants won, won, and won at every stage. My experience helped Jaimon's family in the litigation to boil very complex issues down to to clear credibility issues that won the case. The litigation stretched on through covid, was mediated by an excellent mediator, and Jaimon and his family won. Thank you for letting me help your family in this complex health care fraud civil corporate partnership dispute.
"I have known Richard Hark for years and he is an outstanding attorney. While he handled criminal defense matters for many years, he has shifted his practice focus to administrative law where he assists professionals (nurses, doctors, lawyers, etc) when they are being disciplined by their respective licensing board. This is usually as a result of contacts with the criminal justice system or drug/alcohol problems. Despite the shift in practice, the outcomes are the same. I have seen him successfully fight the most serious criminal charges and I now refer professional clients to him when their criminal case overlaps with their professional license. He has become extremely skilled in a very sensitive area where clients' livelihoods are on the line. This is no easy task but Richard's combination of legal smarts, common sense, and empathy for his client's plight make him a perfect fit. I strongly endorse Mr. Hark."
"I endorse this lawyer. Knowledgeable on board defense matters for licensed health care professionals."
"I recently referred a complicated criminal defense matter to Mr. Hark. He handled the case with a high degree of professionalism and was able to secure an excellent result."
"I endorse this lawyer. I have worked with Rich on many cases over the past 20 years. He is a straight-shooter and is honest with his clients. I trust him enough that I have referred dozens of my clients to him for assistance with various types of matters including criminal defense."
