Attorney Hark resolved both state board and criminal matters, saving my future and my career!

There's no "short and sweet" way to detail the countless ways Attorney Hark has been a God-send to me, when it comes to my case. He saved my career, my future and allowed me to continue practicing nursing. I truly thought I would never be able to do the job I am so passionate about, ever again. My ..."story"---I was thriving as a nurse manager, until one day I was pulled into an office, questioned about missing medications, and fired. I was completely blindsided with accusations that any nurse would call their worst nightmare. I called Richard Hark within 48 hours, after speaking with a handful of attorneys that didn't sound half as confident as Mr. Hark did. Complaints like the ones my employer were making, put me at risk not only criminally, but with the Board of Nursing. I learned very quickly that the attorneys I spoke with weren't well versed in handling matters with the State Board of Nursing. Resolving criminal charges is an entirely different ballgame when you're a licensed professional. Richard's expertise in both areas made a monumental difference in my case's outcome. My case went on for what felt like forever. Each time we tackled one hurdle, another presented. I felt so defeated, so many times. Richard worked tirelessly on my behalf through each and every step of my case, both in the courtroom and with the nursing board. In addition to saving my career, there were COUNTLESS times he talked me out of panic mode--with compassion and genuine care. Richard made himself available whenever, wherever---evenings, early mornings, weekends, on vacation....I've never experienced someone so willingly available. The hours upon hours that Mr. Hark invested in my case, almost made me feel like his only client... which of course was not the case, however, goes to show how committed he is to each client, individually. If you're reading this, chances are you're considering calling Richard for help with your case. Trust me, trust the reviews you read here, and CALL HIM.

Best decision ever!!!

I had a DUI in 2020 and didn't hear of Richard Hark until I was already pretty much forced into signing a contract with the PNAP program (now NHP). I finished out my 3 year program but when it was time to be released, the program failed to release me and informed me that I had another year and a ha...lf to go due to a positive test that was unfounded by an evaluation and a MD review. I was devastated as I never knowingly used any illicit substance after signing the contract and I didn't know where to turn. A friend of mine recommended Richard Hark so I called him up. This was the best decision I ever made. Richard and his assistant, Jessica, are very knowledgeable and attentive. After speaking with Richard my fears were laid to rest. Richard and his staff were always available to communicate any time of the day or night. I worked with Richard and Jessica to gather all necessary paperwork and they were very patient with me. Richard had me set up an evaluation with an approved MD and when the report was done it was sent to the board along with a petition to terminate the contract since the contract date ended 4 months prior. I was very surprised, after a day or so I received an order to reinstate my license effective immediately. I was feeling trapped, hopeless and unsure if they were ever gonna let me out and the program literally took me broke. I will always be grateful to Richard and his staff. I found out the hard way that you can not fight these people without legal help and I would 1000% recommend Hark & Hark to anyone who gets caught up in this trap. I am free. Finally after 3.5 years of testing, classes and financial struggles, I will be able to continue with my life with the help of this firm.

This client lives in the Pittsburgh area. I work in Montgomery County. Every aspect of the case was seamless. Virtual appointments with me and coordinated appointments with the PHMP approved medical expert got her out of the PHP/PHMP and ended her dealing with PNAP. The entire case was was based upon inappropriate extensions of her original PNAP contract. DO NOT SIGN THESE AGREEMENTS. CALL ME. We handle these cases through through emails, phone call, zoom or TEAMS meetings and ADOBE docs. We were able to get her PNAP and PHMP contracts terminated. Once a health care provider is in this program -- whether from Scranton, York, Lancaster, Philadelphia, Erie, Allegheny or Bloomsburg, compliance and then timely getting out is hard. I am always planning, planning, planning and then putting into place a plan to perfect execution. Thanks.-- Good luck with your career!

Rich Saved My Nursing License

After getting into some legal trouble - the nursing board wanted to suspend my license. I reached out to Rich immediately the day of and he held my hand through the whole process. Rich was always responsive the same day usually within 2 hours or less. Communication is everything and I never felt I... was left hanging for answers. I felt supported through the whole process. With Rich's leadership, I am happy to say I have my license today. I could not have done it without him.

This client lives west of Harrisburg. I work in Montgomery County. This is typical of many clients. We can meet, but why meet in person. Everyone has a life they are living. My job is to take care of the legal issues -- off loaded to me -- while you keep working. Emails, phone calls, virtual appointments make every aspect of my legal counsel seamless. This alleged impairment case is typical of the bald allegations of theft large health care entities do to lower payroll and fire long term employees. I fight everyone of these cases as if my license was on the line. Planning, planning, and putting into place the plan was perfect execution. Call me if you have any questions or have been contacted by a state board investigator.

Excellent Attorney to handle licensing issues

I hired Richard on 2 separate occasions. I was in a lot of trouble with the PA Board of Nursing and there is NO WAY that I would have been able to deal with my situation without Richard's help. I was crippled with fear and ready to voluntarily surrender my license. Richard calmed me down, redirect...ed me, gave me hope, and then he got to work. My case took years to resolve and Richard was with me every step of the way. I had an investigator from the Board of Nursing relentlessly trying to interview me (VERY intimidating). Richard shut that down immediately. My case required a hearing to be held in Harrisburg that Richard was with me for. He did a GREAT job at the hearing, took charge of the 3+ hours it took, and I felt like he was a REAL fighter for me. I served out a suspension (that was justified) and continued with the process with drug testing, going to meetings, counseling, and eventually an assessment with a PHMP assessor. Rich prepared me for the assessment, and it went great. Together, we were methodical with the approach to my case, and compiled a bunch of evidence in my favor to present to the board in my petition to reinstate my RN license. At the end, my license was reinstated to unrestricted, non-probationary status. I CAN'T BELIEVE that he pulled that off for me. That NEVER, EVER would have happened if I did not have Richard's guidance. 5 stars is not enough to give him with my case. If anyone from the PHMP, PNAP, board investigators, ANYONE requesting anything from the board of nursing tries to contact you, DON'T RESPOND. CALL RICHARD!

William's issue were extensive but solvable. Patience, diligence, and William following my advice allowed him to fully realize his license reinstatement. I have a plan, process, and path forward for every suspended licensee. It does not matter that I am in South Eastern Pennsylvania and William lives in Pittsburgh. I represent clients from many states and all over Pennsylvania. Erie, Lancaster, York, Luzerne, Scranton, Philadelphia are just a few locations where my client's live. Thank you for letting me help you William.

First and foremost if you ever receive anything in the mail regarding your license please call a professional! I received a bogus DUI while not under the influence just because my car had a smell which put my nursing license was in jeopardy. I was less than a year shy of graduating and becoming a reg...istered nurse when I was notified that I could not attend school. PNAP diagnosed me with cannabis use disorder, was on my heels and wanted thousands of dollars yearly to attend with job restrictions. I finally had enough and contacted Richard. He walked me thoroughly through the process. I was a nervous wreck and he was very patient with me and prepared me for the journey. I 1000% recommend him as a license defense lawyer.

Thanks CJ for the great review. More importantly, thanks for searching the internet, finding my webpages, and calling me to ask questions. PHMP and PNAP sends misleading and scary letters to licensees. Every new client tells me they thought the PHMP was the Board and they had to comply with this initial evaluation. THIS IS WRONG. As my website says, DO NOT SIGN ANY DOCUMENT UNTIL YOU TALK TO AN ATTORNEY. DO NOT RELEASE YOUR MEDICAL RECORDS. My clients in Erie, Pittsburgh, Scranton, and Lancaster have read my website, call me, and we stop the abusive PNAP process. Call me to talk about your case.

"I have known Richard Hark for years and he is an outstanding attorney. While he handled criminal defense matters for many years, he has shifted his practice focus to administrative law where he assists professionals (nurses, doctors, lawyers, etc) when they are being disciplined by their respective licensing board. This is usually as a result of contacts with the criminal justice system or drug/alcohol problems. Despite the shift in practice, the outcomes are the same. I have seen him successfully fight the most serious criminal charges and I now refer professional clients to him when their criminal case overlaps with their professional license. He has become extremely skilled in a very sensitive area where clients' livelihoods are on the line. This is no easy task but Richard's combination of legal smarts, common sense, and empathy for his client's plight make him a perfect fit. I strongly endorse Mr. Hark."
