For the professional, I counsel Pennsylvania doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and all other licensees facing disciplinary actions before Pennsylvania's twenty six different state regulatory boards. My clients live both in and outside Pennsylvania and face disciplinary actions against their Pennsylvania professional license. My website and blogs discuss my professional license defense strategies. From criminal convictions that affect a license to work place employment investigations and client based complaints to the licensing boards, I handle all types of disciplinary actions. In this age of hightened scrutiny of all professionals regarding their personal or professional conduct, Pennsylvania's licensing Boards take any complaint or behavioral misteps seriously. Please visit my web site and blogs at .
I also represent individuals in a wide variety of criminal prosecutions. My experience includes defending clients in state and federal grand jury proceedings, perjury and obstruction charges, health care and tax fraud claims, robbery and drug related crimes, gun violence cases, and computer and internet crimes. I counsel clients in connection with grand jury investigations and prosecutions by the U.S. Department of Justice and various U.S. Attorney’s offices across the country, and the Pennsylvania and New Jersey offices of the Attorney General.

Nursing Licenses
Richard was an excellent attorney who worked immediately on getting my case resolved, and protecting my nursing licenses. As a result, my case was closed, and no further legal action was taken against me. Thanks again Richard for all your help!
Thanks Demetria for such a great review. It says many things about me and my law firm. Most importantly it says I do what I say I am going to do. Also it says the reviews you read about me are accurate. It also says my staff is an integral and reliable part of my representation. Welllll, thank you. If you are in Pittsburgh, Lancaster, Lebanon, Harrisburg, Scranton, Easton, or anywhere in the country with a Pennsylvania Nursing, Medical, Osteopathic, Pharmacy, behavioral health, or occupational health license, call me and I will (not can), I will, help you.

Full Reinstatement of my PA Resident Life Insurance License
I've held my resident PA Life, Accident and Health Insurance license since 2008. The PA Insurance Comissioner suspended and threatened to revoke my insurance license. Richard Hark responded to the insurance department promptly, outlined our case, submitted required documents and was successful in f...
Handling Insurance Commission license disciplinary cases is a very unique process, not for the untrained attorney. I have handled many of these cases, to trial and through post hearing briefs. That extensive experience allowed me to handle Joe's very complex but medically defendable case. If your attorney doesn't know the law, of has not handled these cases, be careful. Do not hire or allow you insurance company to give you a medical malpractice attorney from the insurance panel to handle these cases. Mistakes happen and your license will be at risk. Hire the right attorney for the job. You would not go to a foot surgeon for an elbow incident. Same with license defense cases. Joe knew right away I knew how to help get his license back. I show him my plan, executed the plan, and got his license back. DO NOT TRUST JUST ANYONE WITH YOUR LICENSE. Call me from anywhere in the country or Commonwealth of PA so I can advise you the correct way to get, protect, or get back you healthcare of business license.

PHMP
Richard knows what he is talking about when it comes to professional practice cases. I chose Richard after I read his blog about the PHMP. I hired him out of precaution for my license and he helped to ease my anxiety and progress forward with the necessary steps to make sure I was prepared for court(...

Veterinary Licensing and Specialty Certification
Richard was referred to me by another licensing attorney who highly recommended him, and I have to agree. He is knowledgeable, experienced and effective. He was able to get us results against a large veterinary medical licensing group which many felt was futile. I can’t thank Richard enough for his...
Drs. Wiggin and Tyson and two other specialty veterinarians were improperly denied their expert certifications through a faulty board exam process. Without going to deep into this contested appeal process, we were able to show the Board the statistically improper testing process, secured a re-scoring, and all four vets are now Board Certified Avian Specialists! Dr. Wiggin and Dr. Tyson, thanks for letting me help.!
"I have known Richard Hark for years and he is an outstanding attorney. While he handled criminal defense matters for many years, he has shifted his practice focus to administrative law where he assists professionals (nurses, doctors, lawyers, etc) when they are being disciplined by their respective licensing board. This is usually as a result of contacts with the criminal justice system or drug/alcohol problems. Despite the shift in practice, the outcomes are the same. I have seen him successfully fight the most serious criminal charges and I now refer professional clients to him when their criminal case overlaps with their professional license. He has become extremely skilled in a very sensitive area where clients' livelihoods are on the line. This is no easy task but Richard's combination of legal smarts, common sense, and empathy for his client's plight make him a perfect fit. I strongly endorse Mr. Hark."
"I endorse this lawyer. Knowledgeable on board defense matters for licensed health care professionals."
"I recently referred a complicated criminal defense matter to Mr. Hark. He handled the case with a high degree of professionalism and was able to secure an excellent result."
"I endorse this lawyer. I have worked with Rich on many cases over the past 20 years. He is a straight-shooter and is honest with his clients. I trust him enough that I have referred dozens of my clients to him for assistance with various types of matters including criminal defense."
