Talk to him first.

I contacted three attorneys after being accused of drug diversion and "working while impaired" as a registered nurse. Mr. Hark was the only attorney who advised me (correctly) to assume a fully defensive posture, shut down all information exchange with my ex-employer and begin to build a solid defens...e against these accusations. Mr. Hark was prompt, responsive and provided me with all the information I needed to work with him to navigate a very broken Board investigation system. If you find yourself in a similar position, hiring Mr. Hark immediately and following his advice to the letter is an absolute necessity. The simple truth is the system in place in the state of Pennsylvania is a strict "guilty until proven innocent" scenario and health care systems will act in their own best interest to minimize their own liability by funneling you into that system as quickly as they can. You may feel like you are alone, but trust me when I say that there are hundreds of people in situations just like yours. And Mr. Hark has helped many of them move from seemingly hopeless beginnings to a very, very sweet victory. Do it.

Thank you!

Mr Hark is extremely knowledgeable when handling situations with the PA board of nursing. I graduated and was completely unprepared to receive letters threatening the license I didn't yet have. Thankfully we found Mr. Hark online and after reading his blog and reading horror stories from other nurses..., I hired him. He was right about everything and guided me through the process seamlessly. Times were very stressful, and talking with Mr Hark gave me confidence in his abilities to resolve my situation and reduced the anxiety surrounding it. Do not deal with the board alone, hire Mr Hark, he will help protect your license. He came through for me and now I'm a registered nurse!! I cannot offer enough thanks!!

Saved the integrity of my RN license

I received a call from a staffing agency I worked for and was informed that I would be reported to the Nursing board for negligence and fraud. I was facing at best disciplinary action, or worse, a revoked license and the end of my nursing career. I was devastated and afraid so I decided to hire a la...wyer. I found Richard Hark when I searched "phila lawyer disciplinary action" in google. I called him hysterical and crying but he simply told me to relax and to meet him at his office that day. After sitting with him and discussing my case, I knew that everything would be ok. After hiring him the waiting game began with the nursing board. He and his secretary Jessica always maintained an open line of communication, made the process of payment very easy, and worked hard to get the great results that were achieved. Here's a little advice: you'll want to give up, try another field of work, and assume the worst....but don't. Richard's got it under control. Not only did he seal the deal leaving my nursing license unscathed, he saved my life. Thanks again Hark & Hark!

I really appreciate clients that appreciate my staff and I. We understand each client's individual matter and the importance of a professional license. As an attorney, I have a license too. I handle each license defense case as if it was my license being subject to discipline. My clients worry, are anxious, and nervous. I am responsive to these concerns. This client's review is consistent with many others because this is how I personally handle each case. Thanks for the review.

Highly Recommend

Mr. Hark saved my career. He is very knowledgable, trustworthy, and dedicated. I never had difficulty contacting him, which helped me feel at ease during the process. I would recommend Mr. Hark to any medical professional whose license may be in jeopardy.

Board Issue

Mr. Hark helped me through a very difficult time while dealing with false allegations that were reported to the board of nursing. He was there from the very beginning sharing his knowledge and was able to calm me down. Mr. Hark was always very responsive to texts and phone calls. He kept me informed ...of any contact made and what the next steps would be and the possible outcomes. Although the process was long and difficult at times in the end I received a positive result. I truly believe if I did not have Mr Hark on my side things could have gone drastically different. I will be forever grateful to Mr Hark as he has allowed me to continue to be the hardworking and caring nurse that I strive to be everyday.

"I have known Richard Hark for years and he is an outstanding attorney. While he handled criminal defense matters for many years, he has shifted his practice focus to administrative law where he assists professionals (nurses, doctors, lawyers, etc) when they are being disciplined by their respective licensing board. This is usually as a result of contacts with the criminal justice system or drug/alcohol problems. Despite the shift in practice, the outcomes are the same. I have seen him successfully fight the most serious criminal charges and I now refer professional clients to him when their criminal case overlaps with their professional license. He has become extremely skilled in a very sensitive area where clients' livelihoods are on the line. This is no easy task but Richard's combination of legal smarts, common sense, and empathy for his client's plight make him a perfect fit. I strongly endorse Mr. Hark."
