Best decision ever!!!

I had a DUI in 2020 and didn't hear of Richard Hark until I was already pretty much forced into signing a contract with the PNAP program (now NHP). I finished out my 3 year program but when it was time to be released, the program failed to release me and informed me that I had another year and a ha...lf to go due to a positive test that was unfounded by an evaluation and a MD review. I was devastated as I never knowingly used any illicit substance after signing the contract and I didn't know where to turn. A friend of mine recommended Richard Hark so I called him up. This was the best decision I ever made. Richard and his assistant, Jessica, are very knowledgeable and attentive. After speaking with Richard my fears were laid to rest. Richard and his staff were always available to communicate any time of the day or night. I worked with Richard and Jessica to gather all necessary paperwork and they were very patient with me. Richard had me set up an evaluation with an approved MD and when the report was done it was sent to the board along with a petition to terminate the contract since the contract date ended 4 months prior. I was very surprised, after a day or so I received an order to reinstate my license effective immediately. I was feeling trapped, hopeless and unsure if they were ever gonna let me out and the program literally took me broke. I will always be grateful to Richard and his staff. I found out the hard way that you can not fight these people without legal help and I would 1000% recommend Hark & Hark to anyone who gets caught up in this trap. I am free. Finally after 3.5 years of testing, classes and financial struggles, I will be able to continue with my life with the help of this firm.

This client lives in the Pittsburgh area. I work in Montgomery County. Every aspect of the case was seamless. Virtual appointments with me and coordinated appointments with the PHMP approved medical expert got her out of the PHP/PHMP and ended her dealing with PNAP. The entire case was was based upon inappropriate extensions of her original PNAP contract. DO NOT SIGN THESE AGREEMENTS. CALL ME. We handle these cases through through emails, phone call, zoom or TEAMS meetings and ADOBE docs. We were able to get her PNAP and PHMP contracts terminated. Once a health care provider is in this program -- whether from Scranton, York, Lancaster, Philadelphia, Erie, Allegheny or Bloomsburg, compliance and then timely getting out is hard. I am always planning, planning, planning and then putting into place a plan to perfect execution. Thanks.-- Good luck with your career!

Nursing Student with a pending misdemeanor

If you are a nurse/nursing student with any kind of legal issue at all you need to call this man. Not only did I get my nursing license before some of my peers, its unrestricted and I did not have to enter into any monitoring program. We had an initial consultation on a Saturday morning over the phon...e and he explained exactly what was going to happen and what I had to do. I'm not sure if Rich ever sleeps, he was sending emails to the board for me at 5 in the morning. He texts back almost immediately and makes himself available to take calls anytime. I would have lost the job I had lined up and my career would have been significantly impacted had I not hired Rich. I can't thank him and Jessica enough.

This client lives in way north east Pennsylvania, past Scranton. I work in Montgomery County. Every aspect of the case was seamless. Virtual appointments with me and his family, the PHMP medical expert, emails and ADOBE docs did it all. --- What is all? From the initial client appointment, talking with parents, fee agreements, and weekly prep sessions before the eval. As an application case this client had a job, passed the NCLEX, just did not have a license. I knew this would happen and we planned on it from the moment he hired me. Planning, planning, and putting into place the plan was perfect execution. Thanks.-- Good luck with your career!

Board review after reckless driving conviction / 8 Years later complaint to board anonymously of "not reporting"

First I would like to say that at a time when I had little hope and was being pressured by the board to join PDMP even without a DUI conviction Richard alone offered me hope. But let me say he did not just offer hope, he delivered results. Initially I went through a board review that Richard helped... me navigate flawlessly. He was a rock when I needed it. I was unprepared as a recent residency graduate for board inquiries, but Richard got me fully licensed and practicing within months of the initial inquiry. As if that wasn't enough, years later he also successfully helped me address a false report that I did not report the initial issue to the board. An anonymous report was filed against me. And of course the board initiated an inquiry. Richard swiftly reached out and handled the issue with a board investigator who was no doubt not on my side. Following that encounter handled all my correspondence with the state attorney for the board who fairly ruled that I had been completely transparent previously. If you need representation Richard is by far your man. He is worth every penny I promise.

The enforcement environment has ramped up even more after COVID. Now the Board is playing catch up and prosecutors are filing petitions for DUI's from before COVID. Never admit or give any information to any investigator. DO NOT CALL PNAP OR THE PHP OR PHMP. Call me to discuss your DUI and its affect on your professional license. It does not matter where your DUI or work is. I handle cases all over Pennsylvania -- Erie, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Scranton, Lancaster, York, Lehigh, Reading, Bucks, Berks, Chester, State College. So happy to help!

Professional License Defense Attorney

Richard Hark was the lawyer I chose to represent me against bogus allegations and demands made by the state board which had me lose two years of income. After doing thorough research I came across his website and was beyond impressed and knew instantly I needed him to represent me. Not only was he be...yond an expert in telling me step by step the process to clear my name and gave me the push I needed whenever I became afraid or had doubts about my ability to get reinstated full and clear without any restrictions - period! There is no other attorney in the state that can do what he does with the proven methods he has to help professionals like myself get back to our careers in record time and I am forever grateful that I had the blessing of him as my representation! If you are facing any threat to your professional license he is the ONLY CHOICE work putting your faith in. He even would go out of his way to call and text me to make sure I was doing ok and If I was not getting him the info he needed in the time he demanded of me- without his commit to helping me and encouraging me- I never would have cleared my name and regained the ability to further my career.

Many of my health care clients wish to remain anonymous. This client's family circumstances created havoc in her professional life that took substantial effort undoing. Consistent and patient planning, preparation, and client meeting made her case a success. Her license is restored. She can work. She is still the professional she always was. Thanks for letting me help. If you live in Altoona, Erie, Scranton, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia or out of state in California, Texas, Florida and have a health care license issue from Pennsylvania, call me to discuss.

Excellent Attorney to handle licensing issues

I hired Richard on 2 separate occasions. I was in a lot of trouble with the PA Board of Nursing and there is NO WAY that I would have been able to deal with my situation without Richard's help. I was crippled with fear and ready to voluntarily surrender my license. Richard calmed me down, redirect...ed me, gave me hope, and then he got to work. My case took years to resolve and Richard was with me every step of the way. I had an investigator from the Board of Nursing relentlessly trying to interview me (VERY intimidating). Richard shut that down immediately. My case required a hearing to be held in Harrisburg that Richard was with me for. He did a GREAT job at the hearing, took charge of the 3+ hours it took, and I felt like he was a REAL fighter for me. I served out a suspension (that was justified) and continued with the process with drug testing, going to meetings, counseling, and eventually an assessment with a PHMP assessor. Rich prepared me for the assessment, and it went great. Together, we were methodical with the approach to my case, and compiled a bunch of evidence in my favor to present to the board in my petition to reinstate my RN license. At the end, my license was reinstated to unrestricted, non-probationary status. I CAN'T BELIEVE that he pulled that off for me. That NEVER, EVER would have happened if I did not have Richard's guidance. 5 stars is not enough to give him with my case. If anyone from the PHMP, PNAP, board investigators, ANYONE requesting anything from the board of nursing tries to contact you, DON'T RESPOND. CALL RICHARD!

Thank you for letting me help you William.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"I have known Richard Hark for years and he is an outstanding attorney. While he handled criminal defense matters for many years, he has shifted his practice focus to administrative law where he assists professionals (nurses, doctors, lawyers, etc) when they are being disciplined by their respective licensing board. This is usually as a result of contacts with the criminal justice system or drug/alcohol problems. Despite the shift in practice, the outcomes are the same. I have seen him successfully fight the most serious criminal charges and I now refer professional clients to him when their criminal case overlaps with their professional license. He has become extremely skilled in a very sensitive area where clients' livelihoods are on the line. This is no easy task but Richard's combination of legal smarts, common sense, and empathy for his client's plight make him a perfect fit. I strongly endorse Mr. Hark."
