So thankful for this attorney!

I am a RN who faced a complaint to the BON. I was terrified. I had a missing, wasted narcotic. I got the dreaded letter and packet from PNAP. I knew I didn’t divert a pill. I made the smartest move and called RIchard. He called me immediately and advised me what to do. I felt confident just talking t...o him. His reassurance and “we got this” attitude instilled faith in me. I knew I hired the right attorney. During this ordeal some incidents arose that prevented me from getting a job. I called Richard in tears and without a second though he said “get me the information and I’ll take care of it”. And just like that, he took care of it. I had a job two weeks later. Read his blogs. Take his advice. He knows what he is doing. Any nurse facing a complaint needs to consult with this guy. He keeps his word, he calls/texts you back. And he fights for you like he would fight for his own license. I am beyond grateful for Richard. Last night we finally got the email that my case was closed!

I represent nurses in Erie, Pittsburgh, all over western Pennsylvania as well as the eastern part of the state. I handle every client matter with the same caring, concern, and diligence. The PHMP/PNAP trap is getting trickier and the case workers more deceiving. The consequences of taking their bait and going into the PHMP for no good reason are worse than ever. The case workers file petitions to suspend and revoke nurse's licenses for any or no reason. Medical conditions causing missed drug tests are now a basis to suspend you license. Stay out of the program. Call me, as Kelly did, to help stay out of the PHMP and protect your license. Kelly, thanks for letting me help.

Defending myself against the BON

I was accused of diverting drugs from my work place because my name was spit out on a report that tagged me with “red flags.” I explained each of these red flags along with a negative drug and alcohol test that same day. There were no patterns, no witnesses, nothing to go on because I was innoce...nt. Despite this I was fired from my job and reported to the BON. At this point I realized I could not handle this alone. I interviewed many lawyers in my area and as soon as I spoke to Attorney Hark I knew he was the one I needed to be on my side. He helped me to understand PNAP and realize that was not the choice for me bc I was innocent. He came with me to my interview with a BON investigator. He was amazing during the meeting and it felt so good after everything I had been through to take a break from fighting alone and let Richard fight for me. In fact, he didn’t just fight for me, we won!! My case was dropped and no disciplinary actions were put on my license. After working so hard to get my RN Attorney Hark made sure I kept it with no strikes against it and proved to the world that I was innocent just like I had been saying since day one. It is amazing to watch him work, he is unbelievable. He fights hard for his clients and it shows from the moment you meet him.

Excellence

I hired Mr. Hark in December of 2016 after testing positive for cocaine on a pre employment drug screen. I am a registered nurse and needless to say my career and livelihood was on the line. This was an extremely stressful time in my life and Mr. Hark was always a phone call or txt message away to re...lieve any concerns. Mr. Hark took my case very seriously and fought hard every step of the way. We wasted no time, as he began preparing me for my case the moment after I hired him. His retainer fee did not put a hole in my bank account and he was very reasonable with my payment plan. Thanks to Mr. Hark’s experience, hard work and personable nature I recently won my case against the board of nursing! I couldn’t be happier with my experience. I would recommend anyone who has made a mistake or found themselves in an unfortunate situation to contact Mr. Hark before speaking to anyone! He helped my saved my career! Wonderful attorney.

Knows law regarding professional licensing

Mr. Hark comforted my fears early on after being charged with a first time DUI. He talked to me at length about what to expect and he had a calming sense about him that made me feel comfortable working with him. We worked through the whole process together and the end result came just as he said he w...ould, no action against my nursing license.

Administrative Law

I am writing this reference for anyone looking for fighter, trial attorney, and receptive and responsive attorney. Richard Q. Hark accomplished on my case what everyone said he could not. Against the City of Philadelphia, the Civil Service Commission, and the Judges of the Philadelphia Common Pleas... Court, his long term trial and appellate experience told him his legal theory of the case was correct even though they all said no. He persisted, maintained my spirits and fought harder for me than any person ever did. He never gave up, wrote the best legal briefs, and consistently argued on my behalf. We won! On appeal to the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania we won. The City of Philadelphia lost. The City kept fighting against me and Richard kept fighting. We won again. I received all lost wages to which I was entitled, received back payment of pension contributions, and I got my position of seniority back. I never though I would win. Richard always believed in me, my case, and his legal theory. He returned my calls, emailed me all court documents, and kept me up to date on everything. I am so lucky I found him. Thank You,

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"I have known Richard Hark for years and he is an outstanding attorney. While he handled criminal defense matters for many years, he has shifted his practice focus to administrative law where he assists professionals (nurses, doctors, lawyers, etc) when they are being disciplined by their respective licensing board. This is usually as a result of contacts with the criminal justice system or drug/alcohol problems. Despite the shift in practice, the outcomes are the same. I have seen him successfully fight the most serious criminal charges and I now refer professional clients to him when their criminal case overlaps with their professional license. He has become extremely skilled in a very sensitive area where clients' livelihoods are on the line. This is no easy task but Richard's combination of legal smarts, common sense, and empathy for his client's plight make him a perfect fit. I strongly endorse Mr. Hark."
