Please believe the few poor reviews that are written voluntarily and from a bad experience!. I strongly believe that alot of the 5 star reviews on this site and/or google are because Ms. Reisenfeld persistently and prematurely asked for a review, only months into representing a client. She will give... you the illusion that she cares SOOO much about you and that she is advocating zealously for you. When in fact she is not sincere and only cares about her fees. A simple divorce case involving custody of a minor, will turn into a whole production where she will recommend forensic accountant services of a family member to focus on the financial aspect of the case and does absolutely minimal to nothing, regarding the custody battle. She will work as long as you pay in full. She doesn't care if you are financially hemorrhaging and will not agree to a payment plan ( if she doesn'twant to stay on the case). She will switch 180 degrees on you and QUIT your case, even if it's days before trial.. that's what she did in my case!! It's HER that you need to watch out for not your attorney or his/her EX!!. Here is some background to my experience with Ms. Riesenfeld. I retained her a few years ago and she came across as sincere, strong, confident, supportive.. as long as I was paying her thousands every month, she worked on the case. Judging by the outcome , i do believe that the quality of her work was poor ( she could've done a better job, but didn'tcare to try).A short while into retaining her, she started asking me to write her a review on this website and on Google, too. She even posted my stellar review on facebook ( free advertisement !).She started asking for a review after she filed a motion on my behalf. I was very grateful at the time thinking she was a miracle worker, so I gave her 2 stellar reviews even though my case was stagnant.My case was a simple divorce with a custody of a minor.. she barely worked on the custody and primarily focused on the finances to secure her full fee ( which in total neared 200K and the case was NO where near anything.. no finances resolved, no custody resolved, no settlement in progress, no trial.. almost 2 years into the case with no progress, just motions and postponed trial dates and a major waste of time and money, she surprises me with a new tone regarding fees and that she won't be able to represent me in trial if I don't pay her the remaining balance in full. She refused to work with a monthly payment plan. I strongly believe that she tricked me and was not transparent with me about the trial date that was postponed ahead of time and she didn't share that information earlier because she was planning on quitting.. and she did!... she requested that the court releases her from the case as my representative.. she didn't notify me of the appearance date and time until an hour before ( via email).. which I saw later in the afternoon.. The judge granted her the relief and she got out in a blink.of an eye. I was left on my own scrambling trying to figure out what to do next... a few more unpleasant things happened after words but won't disclose here..until this day i am doing damage repair because of her poor unconsciencous work... it took me years to come back and write this review because future clients need to be aware of what could await them, too. Those of you who gave an early stellar review and ended up with a similar experience.. please rewrite your review.. No body realizes that as clients we are being taken advantage of, manipulated. And misrepresented because we are not legal professionals and we are at the mercy and conscience of attorneys like Ms. Riesenfeld who starts off as your best friend and end up being a nightmare!

I highly recommend Ms. Riesenfeld if you are looking for a compassionate attorney, who not only listens to you but works as hard as possible on your behalf. She has been representing me in my ongoing divorce battle against a true NARCISSIST, and I would not be able to get through this horrible time w...ithout her legal expertise and personal care. It was an absolute pleasure working with Ms. Riesenfeld. She was hard working, thorough and relentless in pursuit of achieving the goals I had for my particular cases. We stayed in constant communication throughout the process and she was extremely helpful in answering any and all of my questions.... I would highly recommend Ms Riesenfeld to anyone.

Lauren worked with me for almost a year and a half on a child custody case that kept getting dragged out. She always knew what action to take next and which motion to file for every new situation that arose. She knows family law. From the minute I retained her I felt safe and informed. I knew that I ...could always trust what she was telling me. She always got back to me promptly. I never once felt like I was left in the dark, unlike my previous custody experience. In the court room she is tough, to the point, and well respected by her peers. When it came to trial she was well organized and prepared for everything.
