Biography
Scott B. Black, Esq., graduated and received his Juris Doctorate from Pace University School of Law in 1997, and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Towson State University in 1994. He is admitted to practice law in both the State and Federal Courts of New York State. Following his admission to the N.Y.S. Bar in January, 1998, Mr. Black became associated with a prominent Nassau County law firm in East Meadow, New York, where he represented clients in the areas of employment and labor law, civil and commercial litigation, and criminal defense litigation, gaining valuable experience in each area of law. He also represented various police and firefighter's labor unions in all aspects of collective bargaining, internal affairs and disciplinary matters before the Courts of the State of New York, including the Public Employment Relations Board. Since forming the law firm Jones & Black, P.C. in September, 2003, Mr. Black has continued to represent numerous clients in these areas of the law, and is currently special counsel to various Nassau and Suffolk County Police Labor Unions, while also serving as the Village Prosecutor for the Incorporated Village of North Hills, in Nassau County, New York. In the criminal law context, he has experience from both viewpoints (ie, from a prosecutorial and a defense standpoint), giving him greater insight as to what it takes, in a legal sense, to successfully prepare, try and resolve various criminal matters for the firm's clients, from the basic traffic infraction to the serious felony arrest. Mr. Black takes pride in his ability to connect with his clients, to return his client's calls in a prompt manner, and to provide quality legal services at a reasonable rate.

MAGIC!!! 106 MPH SPEED REDUCED TO PARKING TICKET
Scott somehow got my 106 mph speed in Nassau reduced to a parking ticket!! No points on my license and my insurance was not increased. Criminal Defense
Scott took care of a speeding ticket for me back in 2018 and then again this week. He reduced my “speeding in work zone” to “jaywalking”. No points on my license and nothing on my abstract! It’s like it never happened. I definitely recommend him!
