Shoplifting dropped to non criminal.

To make a VERY long story short, I hired a well known Ocean Country defense law firm who's modo was that the whole firm was behind me. Again they were supposedly the best in Ocean County. They're website looked like they could represent OJ Simpson, it was so professional even a bit intimidating, at the time I new I needed the best so I hired them. The attorney who was assigned to me, wanted me to plead guilty to a petty shoplifting charge on the very first appearance and this was also my first criminal offense. That law firm charged me a large fee so there was no way I was simply pleading guilty, otherwise what did I even hire them for? I fired that lawyer on spot in front of the judge, and the court granted me another month to find a new lawyer. Thankfully I found Steve who helped me get this charge dropped to a non-criminal ordinance which was what I needed to continue as a nursing student. When I initially called Steve I was in panic, he told me to relax and we would figure this out and that's exactly what he did. I would recommend Steve to anyone seeking legal representation. I will be calling Steve again soon to help me with a record expungement. PS. Steves fee is fair and he will help you with arrangements if needed.

HIRE Mr. McGuckin Best lawyer i ever had!!!

I hired Mr McGuckin for my superior court case he was very helpful always available very polite and understanding. He kept me informed at all times and was always upfront and honest about what i could do to help the case. He won my case that i didnt think anyone could win but he did it!!! Effective

Stephen set out to get my case dismissed which was achieved without any issues. I contact three attorneys prior and his pricing was fair and not inflated like the others. Overall would highly recommend.

DUI Dropped! Mr. McGuckin is the real deal.

I can't express enough how grateful I am that I hired Mr. McGuckin for my cases. I had 3 cases, all marijuana related which included charges for possession, paraphernalia and a DUI. At first the plan was to try and wait it out because there was a lot of talk about New Jersey legalizing recreational marijuana. Well that plan fell through so the next best thing to do was apply for consolidation. He was able to consolidate 3 separate cases from 2 different counties into 1 which is incredible. I used my conditional discharge for all the marijuana offenses, and was able to get my DUI dropped. I repeat, Mr. McGuckin was able to get my DUI completely dismissed! He truly went above and beyond. Very pleased to have been in business with him. I will certainly hire him again in the future because I know for a fact that I'll get the best possible outcome.

Eluding/ Mj possession case

I had been charged with 2nd degree eluding which if found guilty carried a jail sentence. I had also had a separate possession of marijuana case but with the help of Mr mcguckin we were able to get the marijuana case dismissed and the eluding charge dropped to 3rd degree with no jail time. Throughout this tough time Mr mcguckin has been more helpful then I could’ve m imagine by working with me on payments, keeping in touch and informed while advising me in the best way possible. I would recommend anyone that need an attorney to definitely give him a call no matter the case and see what he can do for your case.

Greatest Discovery in Ocean County

I truly wish I met Stephen on better term but truly was a blessing when I did. Was facing a second dwi offense and was scared for my life. Stephen showed me so much compassion and sympathy and never looked down at me. After discussing what exactly happened on my fist offense Stephen felt the grief that I had and felt like I was given a raw deal. With great determination knowledge he promised me it would not happen again and that he would make sure that every stone was turned with this new case. Being me I thought that I was just being lied to but Stephen sure did make sure he did and deliver the greatest outcome I could of imagine. He got my case dismissed and was given the minimal charge. Excellent lawyer for juvenile defense

My 12 year old autistic son was charged with serious offenses during non custodial parent visitation. These charges could have been avoided if my son’s condition was shared during an encounter with the police. Negligence and irresponsible behavior on the other parent side created situation that required my son to be represented by a criminal defense attorney. I accidentally found Steve online, and after speaking with several attorneys, he seemed the most sincere and upfront. He shared his cell phone number and followed up with me before I paid him anything to make sure I had no additional questions. That level of responsiveness is rare these days and I retained Steve to represent my child. Steve exceptionally presented evidence, relevant documentation, and was able to dismiss criminal charges against my kid. He is very knowledgeable and understands the system well. I am hoping I never have to go through this again, but if I do, I will be sure to retain Steve. Highly recommend and appreciate his services!

EXCELLENT

I was facing a very serious criminal charge with a prior and was facing a few years jail time. Stephen explained the best and worst outcome, and always answered every single phone call. We had several court dates and the judge was very tough regarding my case. With Stephen’s expertise and in his profesional demeanor he was able to get me probation. One of the best lawyers

I was referred to Mr. McGuckin by a good friend of mine. Upon receiving his phone number, I contacted him, and explained to him I had an assault charge and he proceeded to instruct me on the worse to best case scenario. Sure enough he was able to get me the best option possible to keep me out of jail , with an anger management program and a decent Fine. Fantastic

as someone who has a basis for comparison as to what a good lawyer is and is not I am fully confident in saying Stephen McGuckin is as solid and standup as I could have ever asked for. Very very prompt and communicative, very easy to reach, never once did I speak to another associate, always directly with him, which is something I value as he is the one I retained, I am living in Texas and was represented in multiple counties in NJ without having to appear, in the end my charges were all dropped, I was even able to contact Stephen regarding traffic issues and for financial estate attorney referrals revolving a death in my family. The legend Himself Mr. STEVE MCGUCKIN

Steve has been awesome! I got pulled over for a DUI in November and I explained him my situation about school and he was able to work with me and the court to get my date pushed so I can finish school, even doe I was suppose to get 7 months loss of license but Steve definitely have some tricks up his sleeves and managed to get me a 3 months suspension without an interlock device which was great outcome and every student could wish for. I highly recommend him, if you don't you missing out and he is very very very reasonable. Guys give him a shot or you will regret for the rest of your life why you did not hire Steve McGuckin.
