Mason A. Pokorny

Mason Pokorny was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. After high school, he moved to Florida to attend the University of Tampa where he was a Dean’s Scholarship recipient and a relief pitcher in the baseball program.

While at the University of Tampa, Mr. Pokorny’s academic studies were in the fields of Business Management and Marketing. Outside the classroom, Mr. Pokorny interned at the United States Attorney’s Office in Tampa in the Criminal Division and worked with the Boys and Girls Club of America. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in 2010.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Mr. Pokorny attended law school at Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida. Mr. Pokorny graduated in May 2013 and became licensed to practice law in Florida in October 2013. His academic studies were focused on employment law.

During law school, Mr. Pokorny completed an internship program with Bay Area Legal Services in the Family Law Division and was also an In-House Counsel Intern at the Outback Steakhouse/Bloomin’ Brands, Inc. headquarters in Tampa, Florida.

Throughout law school, Mr. Pokorny was an active volunteer in the Bay Area Volunteer Lawyers Program assisting indigent litigants in family law matters. Additionally, Mr. Pokorny volunteered with the Palma Ceia Little League in Tampa, Florida.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Pokorny was a law clerk for a private foreclosure and bankruptcy firm in Tampa, where he was primarily involved in the drafting of legal motions and memoranda. In November 2013, Mr. Pokorny joined Vecchio, Carrier, Feldman & Johannessen, PA as an Associate Attorney in the Lakeland office. Mr. Pokorny focuses on representation of employers and insurance carriers in litigation of workers’ compensation and employment related claims.
