I believe everyone deserves a chance. Everyone deserves achance to defend himself or herself and explain what needs to be explained. Ihave spent a lot of time overseas and have many friends and family from othercountries. When I describe the opportunity that Americans have to stand up forthemselves, to defend themselves and to challenge the State, my foreign friendsare always amazed and envious. Receiving those reactions, understanding theuniqueness of our justice system, and appreciating those opportunities make meproud to do what I do.
Aftergraduating from Pepperdine University School of Law, I became an AssistantProsecutor in Somerset County, NJ. I handled criminal and juvenile prosecutionsof all natures from the investigation stages through trial. I argued numerouscases in the Appellate Division and submitted briefs to the New Jersey Supreme Court.
Whilea law student I had several eye-opening experiences that helped me gain myappreciation for the law and our justice system. I was a judicial intern to theHonorable Katharine S. Hayden of the Federal District Court in Newark, NJ and Iwas a legal intern at the Ministry of Justice of the State of Israel. Theseplaces showed me people, cases and laws of various philosophies and differentbackgrounds.
Igained my bachelors degree in History and Journalism & Mass Media fromRutgers University, where I graduated the University with Honors and from mymajors with Highest Honors. I rowed varsity crew all four years.
In immigration cases, criminal defense, and drunk driving my clients are often fighting uphill battles. The outcomes can never be guaranteed and all the pressure andstress is on them because they stand to lose the most. For that reason Ihold nothing back. Each client is my most important client. Every client has mycell phone number and can call me at anytime with questions. I have severaloffices and try to accommodate clients by meeting as close to their homes orbusinesses as possible, and on days and at times where they will not have tomiss work.
Ihave the legal knowledge, courtroom presence and relentless work ethic toprovide you with the representation you need in a personable manner so thatyour experience with the legal system is as painless and as successful aspossible.

Unprofessional!
I sent Mark a question that I am lookin gfor an answer per my N400 application and he called me asking me what is the question and while I was explaining my question he interrupted me and said I can't answer your question! So why did you call me and asked for my question from the beginning? Such a b...
This person is not a client and was never a client. A client pays for service. This person did not want to pay for service; he just wanted me to tell him how to answer a specific question on a form that he was completing on his own over the phone. This is something no responsible lawyer would do. To provide accurate and reliable advice, it is necessary to review the paperwork and get all the relevant information. This cannot be done over the phone and it is ridiculous to expect an attorney to do this for free for a complete stranger. Notably, he emailed me to ask a question and I called him to find out his question. If it was an answerable question, I would have answered. It was not. I offered to schedule a consultation and this person (who didn't even post his name) hung up the phone. If you also expect me to answer your specific questions without adequate information and refuse to pay for my service, then please stay away. If you want to get a professional accurate answer by providing the necessary information and paying a reasonable fee, please call or email.

I came to Eric Mark's office with my son, when Christina (a different lawyer) said he wasn't in the office we tried to leave. She then called him on the phone to give me peace of mind that he would handle our case. That's what he stated when we spoke on the phone. Cristina gave me some forms to fill ...
Mr. Pinedo hired us in Sept. after meeting with Cristina, who is an attorney. He did not return our intake questionnaire until January. Despite that, we completed the paperwork within a few days. We notified him that we are ready to complete the filing with signature and final payment, at which time he refused to sign or pay demanding an appointment. My staff returned all his calls and informed him there was no need from our perspective for an appointment with me, that the work was complete and ready for signature. Mr. Pinedo refused to provide a reason for insisting on an appointment. My schedule did not allow for an appointment at that time without a reason and no appointment was needed in order to complete the job. My staff informed Mr. Pinedo he could come into the office any time during business hours and I'd be happy to introduce myself and say hello, but we would not make an appointment unless one was necessary. Mr. Pinedo appeared to be confused about the fees that were due. I sent him an email explaining that the contract is for $1,200 for our service plus the filing fee. He paid a non-refundable deposit of $600. In order to submit the petition, the balance of our fees, $600 and the filing fee of $535 are required. This is clearly stated in bold in the contract.I provided him another copy of the contract for his review. Mr. Pinedo filed a complaint with the BBB, who reviewed the emails, communications and statements and closed the file. Mr. Pinedo challenged the charge with his credit card company. They reviewed the same information and refused to do a chargeback.

Doesn't Communicate Well
I emailed Eric a few times and he hasn't responded once. Knowing that my case is open and shut, it appears he doesn't think he has to answer any of my questions. Of course, he has no problem cashing my check within a day but no response to any of my e-mails. This is definitely not professional. ...
I have no idea who this person is. I respond to emails within a few days for all clients and non-clients. The post also does not make sense. If this is a past client, why would you have sent me a check? In case I missed these emails, I reviewed my inbox, even the spam folder, and did not see any emails from a person named Mike. I also have not received any checks from a person named Mike. So, it appears whoever this is, is not a client. Whoever it is, you are welcome to email me directly or through Avvo and I'm happy to answer your email.

Unethical Attorney Behavior
My oat ceremony was on may 31,2013 . on april 30,2013 i was arrested for drug paraphernalia and on may 16,2013 my case was dismissed . I hired Mark so he can schduale a appointment with the( USCIS )supervisor handling my case so he can gave them Official court certified dispositioning and ask them i...
This was an unfortunate circumstance, that sometimes happens when dealing with USCIS. I went to speak with a supervisor at USCIS, explained the circumstances, and showed him the disposition. That supervisor said it would not be a problem as long as this person brought the certified disposition on the date of oath ceremony. This person did not want to retain me to appear with him at the oath ceremony, so I could not file a G-28 or go with him on that. On the day of the interview, a different supervisor was working and had a different policy on what needed to be done. Getting different answers from different people at USCIS is a common problem and is one of the biggest reasons it is necessary to retain a lawyer to represent you for your entire case and not just to address small parts. This approach greatly limits what any lawyer can do to help.
