I was referred to Mr.Rintoul by another attorney who recommended his professionalism in handling employment issues.Being unemployed I enrolled in Cobra plan but my former employer who was responsible for handling my insurance failed to insure me.I was making monthly Cobra payments and receiving bills from my medical providers at the same time.I kept calling my former employer,Cobra insurance provider hired by that employer and my insurance firm for more than two months with no success. All of them were blaming each other and bills were piling.I called Mr.Rintoul and he admitted me the very next day.He took my case and handled it quickly and professionally. In couple days he solved my problems accepting only initial fee.In case I have any legal issues in future I will certainly ask him to help me.I can recommend Mr.Rintoul to anyone.

Attorney David Rintoul stands out in his field. He possesses a wonderful combination of knowledge, expertise, and a down-to-earth, human element. I did my research and I called and spoke with numerous attorneys prior to hiring David Rintoul. Many large law firms promised me winning settlements, at no initial cost to me, without ever seeing a file or hearing the details of my case. Suffice it to say, the last inquiry I made was to Attorney Rintoul. I hired him.
Attorney Rintoul was honest from the very beginning that he could not guarantee a win, but he believed in my case. His fees were reasonable. Most importantly, he was always reachable, whether it be through his office, by cell phone, or by email. He kept me informed as to any communication he received from my insurance company. He and his staff also kept track of the dates and deadlines by which all responses and documents had to be submitted. Any documents submitted after the respective due dates could well have invalidated the entire appeal.
I never thought I would need a LTD Lawyer. I was an active, athletic, professional up until a few years prior to hiring David Rintoul. Unfortunately, the progression of degenerative disc disease in my neck became increasingly debilitating over the years, further adding to a 20+ year history of chronic migraines. I had kept all the documentation, including migraine calendars dating back 15 years. The bottom line is the insurance company is in the business of making money, which means NOT PAYING legitimate claims when people do become ill or unable to continue their normal routines. David Rintoul knows how to take on the insurance companies and make them do the right thing.
I would recommend David to anyone who finds themselves needing an employment/LTD appeal attorney. You will not find a kinder, more competent man who is dedicated to doing what is right.

I am very pleased to share my highly positive and beneficial experience in recently working with Attorney David Rintoul. With his expert guidance and assistance we achieved a positive outcome with my appeal to the State of Connecticut – Medical Examining Board for Disability Retirement (Board). The Board had previously denied my initial claim for disability retirement based on insufficient records of medical evidence. I had only one chance to appeal a decision that would affect my retirement income for the rest of my life.
At our initial meeting, Attorney Rintoul provided a realistic approach to the appeal process without promising a successful outcome. However, based on his experience, his explanation of the process and proposed course of action, my husband and I were confident he could truly give us a fighting chance.
We made a very wise decision to engage the services of this experienced professional. Attorney Rintoul and his staff were very responsive to our inquiries along the way. Thanks to his expert approach, the actions taken, and preparations made by Attorney Rintoul we were very well prepared for our appeals hearing with the Board. Gratefully we achieved the outcome hoped for. We are convinced the outcome would have been much different without him.
