A different legal counsel that I engaged to handle my separation in 2013 and subsequent divorce in 2014 had terrible ramifications and results. I had a number of domestic issues that needed to be addressed, including temporary orders, extensions, protection orders for me and my three children, real e...state division, and QDROs that have all continued to date. These issues were drawn out over time by my former counsel and never closed out. I did not feel comfortable until I met Attorney Hebert in March 2017. I knew then that my future and my children's futire would be adequately protected and fought for. Unfortunately, I didn't engage Attorney Hebert's services until I realized that my former Attorney had failed to dutifully or professionally represent me in an number of matters relative to my court hearings and divorce agreement. Significant legal matters and lack of benefits were immediately discovered by Attorney Hebert upon on our initial consultation. She didn't hesitate to call these out and make me clear of my rights and all of my options. Attorney Hebert was accommodatiing, as I had an initial meeting with her personally within 2 days. Sadly, my kids and I also experienced verbal and physical issues with my former husband post divorce, as well as with another very disturbing incident . Attorney Hebert made herself available for contact at any hour. I contacted her about a dangerous situation I was in and she replied immediately with advice to contact police. She followed up with me immediately and throughout the night and the weekend...and hasn't stopped since. She truly wants to make sure that me and my children are okay. I rarely write reviews but when I do, it's usually a case of something very good or very bad. I'm happy to say this is a very good report! I chose Mandy, based on the reviews I read here, to handle my divorce - a second divorce - which gives me a bit more perspective on divorce attorneys (I've worke...d with 5 over the years). There is absolutely no question that I would use her in the future if needed. Here's why: She was always very organized and prepared when we met or talked on the phone. She was 100% focused on my case during these times and showed sincere concern and interest in getting the best results for me. When I had certain expectations surrounding the agreement that were unreasonable, Mandy would patiently play devil's advocate and helped adjust my expectations - but willing to support me regardless of what I chose. Her intellect and whit made this so much more tolerable ... and I dare to say fun at some points. She is the consummate professional, respectful of opposing counsel, articulate and on-point with her delivery, and takes no crap in the courtroom (while staying respectful, of course). She will go toe-to-toe in a heartbeat if needed. This is the attorney you want on your side - and very definitely NOT the attorney you want as opposing counsel! Is she busy? Yes. Was she there to pick up the phone for all my calls? No. If that is what you expect, I wish you luck because those attorneys have free time for a reason. When dealing with any legal situation, you would be wise to work as a team rather than expect your attorney to carry you through the ordeal. Being patient, understanding that your attorney has others just like you that deserve 100% of them during their time will keep expectations in line. I would - and do - recommend Mandy to people I care about that need an attorney. Call her and get on with your life!
