My friend recently pregnant with her 5th child hired Mr. Barnett to help prove her husbands innocence on a drug related charge. After she signed the contingency plan, Mr. Barnett became very vague with his progress and finally after repeated calls a friend used another number and he answered quickly. He was very hesitant with his time at first, but then agreed on an appt to help fill his client in on the progress he had made. He stated to my friend "Ive only lost one case we shouldnt have to go to trial and if we do it should only take a day" Which Mr. Barnett lost and moved on to a two day trial. Many facts of the case were obviously ignored. A drug case that goes from saying one is guilty of possession of 100 grams of Meth than to 10 grams? Odd. The prosecutor then said there was no evidence of the amount .... Someone also came to the clients husband in jail stating they were the DA and needed all his documents of the case. They said Mr. Barnett was on vacation? Made no sense nor did the attorney question what had happeded with his clients papers. Also charges were dropped in one area and not in the other. This made no sense too. After trial was over my friend went to ask what had happeded? Mr. Barnett again was very vague and said he would file an appeal? The case was passed on and she has not heard from Mr. Barnett again even after trying to reach him repeatedly unsuccessfully.
