Case Conclusion Date: May 26, 2010
Practice Area: Criminal Defense
Outcome: Not Guilty
Description: My client was pulled over for speeding. The officer believed my client was nervous and asked for consent to search. Fortunately, my client was smart enough to refuse a consent search. The officer, undeterred, calls out of the drug dog and finds what they claim is marijuana. At trial the court ruled that the drug dog search violated my client's rights, and that the State could not prove that there was the required quantity of marijuana to support a conviction. Not guilty. I'm working on the expunction as we speak. My client will have no record of this arrest or trial after the expunction is complete.
