When defending consumers, I offer a combination of “flat fee” full service and limited scope representation in collections cases, because I realize that paying a lawyer at prevailing hourly rates often does not make sense in a collections case. When I am suing a debt collector, I also seek to recover my fees where possible through fee shifting consumer protection statutes, such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Maryland Consumer Protection Act.
FOR CONSUMERS: I represent Maryland consumers in the following areas:
Contingent (25-40%), Fixed (Always), Pro Bono (20%)
Cash, Check, Credit Card
Peter is nationally known for his expertise in consumer law and fair debt collection laws. His work has been published in papers and is studied by peers and adversaries alike. I highly recommend this lawyer for any matter dealing with Debt Defense.
