Dan has my highest recommendation

I had a dispute with a furniture company where they delivered defective furniture and lamps, and because of the way the company was organized, it made it very difficult to settle this legally (officer names were hidden, the company wasn't registered in Cook County, etc.). Additionally, even if it wen...t to court, it was evident if the judge issued a judgement against them, their ethics were such that they just wouldn't pay. I would then have to try to find out who they are banking with in order to collect. Something that would cost me that much more to accomplish. As such, I tried very diligently to work with the furniture company and I then spent the next year going back and forth to try to settle this amicably. After several occurrences of dishonest behaviour and broken promises, it became evident the company was just dragging things out with no intention for a resolution in hopes that I would just give up. Finally, thinking there was nothing to be done and as a last resort, I called Dan. I should have called him first. He provided a legal solution that allowed reimbursement and closure on what I thought was possibly an impossible situation. This solution consisted of adding the financing company to the suit as subject to claims of the defendant. In the end, it was this financing company that called me and settled the issue, allowing me to get what I needed to have the furniture repaired and the lamp shades replaced. I am deeply grateful for Dan's help. He is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and I recommend him at the highest level. Dan, if you're reading this, with deepest gratitude, thank you.

Dan and his firm did an outstanding job for me

I had an upsetting experience with a company that buys credit card debt and then sues to try to collect on it. Apparently some lowlife got hold of my name and social security number, fraudulently opened a credit card in my name in North Carolina, used it to buy a $3,000 refrigerator, and then default...ed on the card. The company then sued me in Illinois to try to collect the debt. I responded with a declaration under penalty of perjury documenting that the account was not mine, and that I had indeed never even set foot in North Carolina. The company never disputed my proof, but still kept the case going for a year, while they were supposedly searching for the person who was actually responsible for the debt. Then they dismissed the case "without prejudice" and sued me AGAIN. Predictably, I ultimately got that case dismissed, this time with prejudice, which barred them from refiling it. Even after having lost twice, the company STILL kept sending me letters - three of them - attempting to collect. And they never reported to the companies that give you a credit score that they had lost both their lawsuits against me and that I was not in fact the deadbeat they claimed I was. I was furious by this point, and hired Dan Edelman's firm, Edelman, Combs, Latturner & Goodwin, LLC, to represent me. I am myself an attorney, and had read a number of federal cases where Edelman Combs had obtained excellent results for clients who had been deceived or defrauded by purported creditors. Edelman Combs succeeded in obtaining an outstanding result in my case, settling it for far more than I had thought possible. I dealt at various times with Dan and four other attorneys at his firm. I highly recommend Dan and his firm.

Retired Website Designer/Manager

I allowed crooks into my computer who claimed to be cleaning it up. They got my checking account information then transferred over $4,000 out via zelle, This firm allowed me to hire them pro bono -- paying them NO fees directly myself. Giving them much specific information and patiently waiti...ng seven months, they finally got the ENTIRE AMOUNT of money taken out of my checking account back to me!

How to handle a summons from a creditor when permanently disabled

Danial A. Edelman replied astoundingly quick and recommended a well thought out plan of action for me as what my best course to follow would be as I (disabled) represent myself concerning a court summons from a creditor. I’ll follow up with his advice and let y’all know the outcome. Thank you Danial.... Respectfully, Steve, DC, MHA, MBA

He knows what he's talking about and he truly looks out for the "little guy". I would be more than happy to refer my friends to him for legal advice for Mr. Edelman to file suit for my friends."
