An outstanding attorney!

My spouse and I absolutely recommend Michael Carlin as an immigration attorney for both routine and very complex matters! We first found Mr. Carlin on Avvo, and after a couple of consultations, decided to use his legal services in obtaining a waiver of the J visa home-country residence requirement a...nd pursuing my U.S. permanent resident status. During each step of this long and difficult process, Michael Carlin's office delivered a successful resolution because of the exceptional commitment and work ethic on the part of Michael Carlin and his staff. Mr. Carlin is knowledgeable and experienced in the U.S. immigration laws and procedures, always prompt, resourceful and dependable, as well as articulate and honest. He set realistic expectations for the potential outcome of our immigration issues, worked diligently to help us build strong cases, carefully monitored their progress and quickly addressed any questions or concerns. His very considerate approach to working with clients made us feel like we had a true guide and partner in navigating the overwhelmingly complicated landscape of our immigration process. We are grateful to have found and chosen the Law Office of Michael Carlin.

Ecxellent is an under statement ; Outsanding may do th Job

You can find many immigration lawyers, but if you are looking for an EXPERT , who is HONEST and CARING then Michael is your guy. He managed our complicated immigration issue ( my parents and mentally handicapped sister) very professionally. He was able to guide us through achieving favorable outcome.... Extremely knowledgeable , resourceful, compassionate and eager to provide every help you can imagine. Even when you get busy yourself with other stuff he would contact you to check on you. I recommend Michael STRONGLY to every friend and person looking for immigration lawyer.

Honest, knowledgeable, kind

Michael Carlin helped my husband and I file a provisional waiver of inadmissibility, because my husband was in the US undocumented and was facing a 10 year bar. Our waiver was approved and my husband went for his visa interview prepared, received his visa, and reentered the country legally 2 weeks la...ter. Michael Carlin was approachable, completely informed and knowledgeable, always happy to spend time with us answering our questions, going over things twice or three times as needed, and was patient and kind with our kids too! He was very honest and upfront about our chances of success or failure. He always got back to our emails or calls immediately. We had a really great experience with him and his staff and will recommend him to our family or friends in need of immigration help!

Fantastic service on a complex case!

I was an adjustment of status applicant with a complicated immigration background. Mr. Carlin was open and honest when describing our chances for success and extremely generous with his time from the moment we had our first consultation. He somehow gives you the feeling that you are his only client. ...He is extremely responsive by email and phone. After two years of working with him and an initial setback, Mr. Carlin successfully argued our case in front of the Board of Immigration Appeals when we probably had less than a 50% chance of getting approval! Mr. Carlin will work with you and use his experience to provide the best argument possible. Very thankful!

Compassionate Attorney

Michael Carlin first set himself apart by understanding our sense of urgency and responding to us almost immediately on a Holiday Weekend. Having done our research, we knew we wanted someone who could definitely get the job done, but we were blown away by the compassion he showed. Michael was curre...nt on immigration supreme court rulings which really saved us a lot of time and stress. He was able to give us a great recommendation for an attorney in a different field of practice. Our case went as smoothly as anyone could have hoped for, given the situation. We were always informed of every possible case scenario, never mislead or given false hope, always knew what our chances/expectations were going into every situation. By far the best, and hopefully last, attorney I've had.
