BEWARE

Fired his firm 3 times. When I tried to get money back, finally, was put in touch with PEW. He said I had opened my email and he had earned the nearly 2000.00, I BEGGED for help filling out the forms for the court... was told I had to do this myself by hand. I told them when I hired them I had disa...bilities. Was assured they could help, would even come to the house. ALL LIES, Lied to me and kept money they did nothing to earn.

error on chapter 7 with sate of CA good luck trying to reach them after you pay.

the issue with my case was the firm never sent docs of my BK to the state of CA. When the state contacted me i had a horrible time getting the firm to do anything or respond to emails. days after they reponded to a voicemail as I was heading out to the firm to give them the letter today just 2 weeks... after my discharge was received i find out the state set a levy on my bank account meaning the firm did nothhing to make their mistake right. Sadly today I am writting this review not that type of person but I honestly choose this firm due to review I deffinately hope it helps others make a wiser decision than the one I made. still trying to get them to fix it but I would have to wait est. of 3 days for a reponse hopefully they correct this error and live up to the good reviews i read on this site that influence me on my decision to use their services

Jesus, My name is Ferrol, I help Mr. Pew keep an eye on all of his accounts and resolve problems that may arise. I'm very disappointed to hear that you've had so much trouble and I apologize for the apparent lack of urgency in this matter. This does not meet the standards of service that we strive for here at the Pew Law Center. I've contacted the appropriate staff members and instructed them to contact you immediately to resolve this issue. If you could please contact me at [email protected] I'd like to discuss the details of this matter further so that we can train our team and make sure this doesn't ever become an issue again. Again I'm sorry that you haven't received the service that you expected and I will personally make sure that this gets resolved. Thank you

Unprofessional practice

I contacted Mr. Pew's firm to help me with tax issues. He offered a free consultation that until you actually walk through the door have no idea it is not with an attorney. The "free" consultation is nothing more than qualifying their client with what they call an "intake consultant." They asked 2 q...uestions regarding my taxes but asked many questions about what assets I had and what I would be willing to liquidate. Mr. Pew's firm may be as one reviewer said "focused" but in my opinion he is running a sophisticated phone room operation (my intake consultant entered the room with his headset still on) and was more interested in my willingness to liquidate assets than anything to do with my actual tax case.

Another poor choice

When I had my first appointment with Mr. Pew I was very impressed with his professionalism and his knowledge. I gave him a large retainer and hired him to remedy my situation. Mr. Pew requested several documents in order to begin my case. I faxed all documentation within 48 hrs. and I asked for co...nfirmation of receipt and if there was any other documentation required. I never received a response. After a few days I called and left a message. After I called several times over a two week period I finally got a call back from a receptionist that said my paperwork hadn't even been looked at yet. After several more calls I received a call saying they were working on my case and they would call me by the end of the week to give me a status report. I still havent received one. My paycheck has been garnished and the I.R.S. is withholding $2000.00 a month causing my family a great financial hardship. All of this Mr Pew knew from our first meeting. I had hired a tax attorney, and paid him, before to remedy this same situation and that attorney went out of business before my case was resolved. Now I am out several thousands of dollars and apparently I have made another poor choice in attorneys! It seems Mr Pew has too much work and not enough qualified help. I have taken it upon myself to lighten his workload by cancelling my agreement with him. He will probably keep a large part of my retainer because of "all of the work" he put into my case (Erasing phone messages must be tiring!). Unfortunately this will probably save me money in the future.

D minus

I was a client of Mr. Pew and paid him a retainer in advance. What I did not like about his service is that he did not reply to phone calls, did not provide the transcripts I requested in a timely manner, and provided information that was in contradiction with information from the IRS agent. Due to... this incorrect information, I had money taken from my account.

At Pew Law Center, we pride ourselves on superior client services. Unfortunately, neither the commenter nor AVVO will reveal the name of the client so we can right any possible wrongs that may have been committed and verify that they are a client. Certainly, we would do anything within our power to correct the situation and we hope the affected party contacts us. We will make it right! The Pew Law Center is dedicated to helping our clients make it through difficult times with little or no inconvenience to their lives. It appears that this possible client was a tax client. My former Law Partner managed the Tax resolution division of my former firm. As such, he would have been assigned to handle this client. However, we have parted ways and we no longer work together. He was not able to meet the service standards that I demand from me and my staff. With that said, it still pains me to have my name associated with this type of remark. While I know you can’t please everyone, it is the Pew Law Center’s standard to go the “Extra Mile” in all cases. On the rare occasion we make a mistake, we do all in our power to correct it! This comment displays the difficulty in working the IRS. Many times we have seen or heard the IRS agent or officer give conflicting information to taxpayers. Taxpayers must be aggressive in asserting their rights. The IRS has been known to bulldoze the taxpayer and snatch money out of the taxpayer’s bank account. We stop the IRS! Our clients keep their money. If the client comes to us after the IRS has taken their money, many times we can get that money back. We can do some amazing things to resolve peoples and businesses tax issues. However, the client must follow our advice and provide the information that we request. At the Pew Law Center, we serve our clients to our utmost ability. We encourage our clients to speak up if they ever have an issue with staff or perceive a problem with the way their case is being handled. We want our clients’ feedback and input. These are traumatic and stressful situations and we want to know how to make your life better.
