My daughter facing charges was my worst nightmare. My first thought was "I need Seattle's best attorney". I don't know if that is Tim, but I know I'd return, and have recommended him to others. I would have to agree that communication was at times frustrating, I realized afterward that Tim knew exactly what he was doing and probably didn't need every detail from a panicking father. Day before trial, charges dropped. The best day of my life. Tim is a bad ass.

After leaving a message for Tim at his office, I was most impressed to receive a phone call from him that same evening. After introducing himself, he immediately inquired on my daughter's well being. Tim's thoughtfulness extends beyond the defendant, as he made the effort to include and address questions from all those present at the consultation. Tim's legal background and past experience as a prosecuting attorney was helpful in providing information and expectations with my daughter's domestic violence case. During the consultation, Tim crafted an email to the prosecutor's office and forwarded it with intentions to expedite a response on our behalf, as he has previously worked with the assigned prosecutor. Although our experience with Tim may have been limited to a consultation, first impressions of his legal knowledge, and the empathy expressed, provided a level of comfort to us that prior to this meeting was running rampant in our heads with worst case scenarios. Tim would be a strong consideration for anyone looking for legal counsel in the criminal defense area.

I find myself getting caught up for a crap case out of Shoreline that from the start the city was trying to hang me for. I talked with a couple of people about it and everyone said the same thing "Donal you need to get an attorney, the public pretenders the city appoints will not work for you." I didn't listen at first cause in my head my 6 year old could of gotten this charge dismissed. Well here comes my appointed attorney saying that the city wants 90 days in jail and will not come down off that. I take a few people's advice and start calling attorneys. The one that was recommended the most could not take on my case with his plate being full. He says that I should call Mr. Leary. When me and Mr. Leary meet for the first time and I explained what was going on he reassured me that everything will be alright and he is here to fight for me. He had to keep it professional but I knew what he meant. Sure enough that case was dismissed and now I'm sorry free. Thanks Tim I greatly appreciate you, best money I've ever spent.

I was arrested in 2015 based on a disturbing journal entry I wrote and was "overcharged" by the prosecutor with felonies that could have gotten me a life sentence. I was severely mentally ill before and during my incarceration and could not understand the gravity of my situation or most of what was told to me. At the suggestion of my family (my only advocates) we hired Mr. Leary after terminating my public defender. Mr. Leary filed a motion to dismiss the charges, which was very well written I was told later, but this was denied by the judge, despite a high lack of evidence against me. The quality of Mr. Leary's service degraded after this, as for most of my subsequent hearings he was not physically present in court- he was on the phone. I was in solitary confinement for nearly 13 months and was becoming more sick, as I was actively psychotic, and Mr. Leary was very poor at communication with my family and I. Most calls and emails from my family were left unanswered, and it appeared he was unsure of how to proceed with my defense. He made a remark about the insanity defense, which would have resulted in me serving 10 years at Eastern State based on the charges. Because of Mr. Leary's poor communication with us and his statement to my family about the prosecutor "holding all of the cards", our confidence in his abilities diminished to zero, and we terminated him. My public defender took my case back, and preformed much better. My public defender informed the prosecutor that the most incriminating evidence against me was illegally taken by the police without warrants (Mr. Leary never mentioned this), and shortly after, we reached a plea deal of NGRI on much lesser charges with a maximum Eastern commitment of 5 years. Due to the high cost of Mr. Leary's service ($30,000) and his status, we expected much more, and are disappointed in his performance. My family complained to the Bar Association and requested a refund to no avail. If you hire this lawyer, be sure to hold him accountable and be vigilant to keep him on his toes, as he is competent but can certainly fail to follow his reputation and will usually not communicate like a reputable and expensive lawyer should. You don't always get what you pay for- unless I was just not lucky.

Tim was an outstanding lawyer to have in my experience with the justice system. He fought continuously and I never felt stressed while working with him. My case was a tumultuous one. We eventually rejected a plea deal and fought the charges in court. Tim was able to get my case thrown out - the best case scenario at that point. Overall Tim is a very experienced lawyer and always made time to talk with me about the case. Would highly recommend his services to anyone in need of a Defense Attorney.

Can’t even explain how much I own my freedom to Tim Leary! I was wrongly accused of assault in second degree...one public attorney recommended Tim and boy am I glad I hired him! From they start it felt like Tim was just a friend with amazing background in criminal defense! He told me all the possible outcomes and what route we will be taking! I was looking at at least 9 months in jail and was hopeless...at the end of it all I received some community service hours and NO FELONY charge!!!!!! THANK YOU TIM!

I recently needed an attorney for the first time and had no idea where to turn. Tim walked me through the process and what the possible outcomes were likely to be. He was able to calmly address my concerns – and since I needed an out-of-state attorney, he also researched some different people who he thought would be a good fit for our case. I cannot say enough about how grateful I am for his professional guidance. If I needed an attorney locally (Seattle) I would definitely hire Mr. Leary.

Tim Leary is a fantastic attorney. He has tremendous depth of understanding of the law. He also has tactical and strategic knowledge of the process that was very critical in providing me with excellent defense. He was excellent at explaining complicated things to me and he was a fierce advocate on my behalf. He was patient with the process even though in my case it became long and drawn out.

I was charged with several criminal matters. Tim's intelligence, patience, and incredible understanding made it possible for the judges to rule in our favor. He is an excellent attorney and you would be very fortunate to have Tim represent you.

Our family was in a panic and heavy hearted, we needed a lawyer and truth being told we were in distress. We were directed to Mr. Leary's office by my sister, faced with many obstacles on our heart & mind finances, what could the outcome be once the case is over, again how much was this all going to be? But, what a Blessing did God have for us. Mr. Tim Leary.
Once, our family found Mr. Tim Leary, we knew he was more than an a lawyer, we found someone that took personal pride in their work & dedication to us as people. Mr. Leary, didn't treat us like just another case, we knew he really cared. The distress we walked in the door with, immediately began to fall away. Tim, faced each obstacle with us from day one until the end. There aren't enough accolades in the dictionary to honor Tim, Scott (law-firm partner) & Shannon (secretary) for their time, professionalism, & respect.
If anyone is looking for a 10 star, quality lawyer look no further. Mr. Tim Leary is your place to stop.
