Divorce & Family Law

Kimberly was upfront and honest on all aspects of my case. She fought for a clean, quick & fair settlement of my case. No games, just straight forward representation start to finish.

Kimberly Brown is highly unprofessional

Kimberly Brown is unethical and knowledgeable. She made many mistakes during my trial many that I later discovered were basic procedure. not only did I lose my case, I missed time from work and nearly destroyed my family in the process. In addition to her mistakes she was always away and only availa...ble via email. Granted she was inexpensive but I you get what you pay for.

No clue who this alleged client is. I have only 1 trial in my trial history where I was not pleased with the outcome and that case did not involve children (all about money and spousal maintenance). Looking at my trial calendar - I did not have any trials during this time frame and believe that this is a disgruntled individual who I refused to represent as I refuse many many cases. I do not take every case that walks in my door and tell many clients that they must find someone else. The best way to find an attorney is through referral of trusted family and friends...then go meet with the people they refer. Select an attorney who you feel comfortable with and who you trust.

I'm tired of yourproblems

Trust: In order to trust ones atty. they must trust you. Ms. Brown developed several opinions of me including, negotiating in bad faith and pretending I did not now what was going on. How do I know this? She told me in no uncertain terms how disgusted she was with me. Beyond the obvious issue-Brown... not believing what I told her, when I checked with another lawyer, which I was increasingly needed to do, I was given easy to understand information. This contrasted brightly with the increasingly rage-filled responses I received from Brown. Responsiveness: Yes- but with what information? Typically Ms. Brown's missals were full of - This is 101 material- You should know this? Little pragmatic information was proffered and when offer it was extremely difficult to get to through the opinions. Knowledgeable: I am sure Brown must be knowledgeable- She believed I must be too. When I asked a question or for clarification, I was berated, badgered, and belittled because I was did not already have the answer. The motto here was: The customer is always wrong. Kept me informed: At a final juncture in my situation I was told I would be given the results of my so I could leave town. I was not. When I asked via e-mail I was told by Brown, "How dare you intrude on my holiday." I had been told by Brown my situation could be handled in 3 weeks. It took three months. (I traveled from another country and made do with sub-standard accommodations to grapple with the housing, legal, and travel costs. When I mentioned of my situation I was told by Brown, "I'm tired of your problems" and "There were no promises made.

Unlike the other negative posts - this review IS from an actual client. She likely DID feel berated. I absolutely DID read her the riot act and was absolutley furious with her. During the discovery and mediation process, as the opposing party was able to provideone volumes of verifiable documentation it was learned my client falsified enourmous amounts of information and provided one false statement after another. The mediator was able to get the case settled. This is one of the 6 cases I have withdrawn from. It is impossible to represent someone who is providing you false information. And if I find out you are providing me false information and phony documents - you better believe I'm gonna let you have it. I am NOT the attorney to hire if you want to hear flowery words or to be coddled. I am a straight shooter - and if your position is a "loser" - I will tell you so.

Gave this Dad a voice in court for the sake of his children

As a father with children of divorce it is very hard to find a lawyer that clearly listens to a Dad that feels he is being taken advantage of with the laws often favoring the Mother. I have personally had to use Ms. Brown four times for family law matters regarding my children such as child support, ...divorce/parenting plan, violation of parenting plan and modification of child support. Ms. Brown is very knowledgeable on family law. She is very good at making sure all of your information is filed correctly and in a timely matter. All communication is clearly what you want to be said in court to the judge with regards to your case. She gives you various aspects of advice according to your case. I was very impressed with Ms. Brown's upfront straight forward opinion if she felt certain topics are not needed. She also answered emails in a timely matter. She is a fighter for parents that need representation when it comes to a child's welfare. Ms. Brown is a very good lawyer. If I need her again I would not hesitate to retain her. I would truly recommend her to represent you in family court in the state of WA.

Kimberly is a tough and amazing attorney. I'm glad she was representing me.

Kimberly is really great. She has a straight up no-nonsense attitude about the issues, which admittedly took some getting used to and deflated a lot of lofty expectations, but in the end she was ALWAYS 100% right about the outcome. Trust her and she will come through for you. She kept me informed at ...every step so I was never left in the dark and she was exceptional at representing my case. I would recommend her to anyone. Thank you Kimberly!
