I couldn't be happier with Kathryn Abele. What an amazing attorney. She cared about me and not the money. I knew I made the right decision when Kathryn told me that she would only drop me if I lied to her. She doesn't care about money. Money was always the last thing we talked about. Kathryn didn't want a huge retainer. That also showed me she cared about me and not the money. Kathryn charged me $2000 for my divorce AND to get a DVPO dismissed. Not only did I completely win my divorce and my ex wife got $0 from me I also kept all of my property without having to split anything with my ex wife but Kathryn also got my DVPO completely dismissed because Kathryn proved that the only reason my ex wife got the DVPO was to gain leverage in the divorce. I couldn't be happier with Kathryn. If you want someone that cares about YOU hire Kathryn. I also spent a little time reading through her reviews. I noticed a 1 star review from someone named Jessica on 02-22-2021 the same day we got our final divorce papers. Hmmmm my ex wifes name is Jessica. And my ex wife just lost everything she was asking for. I am willing to bet that the 1 star review came from my ex wife Jessica. The reason I say that is because my ex wife wanted 10k in lawyers fees. Not only that but before I even hired a lawyer I offered my ex wife money to pay for any fees if she would just stop lying and we ended our marriage civily. Jessica didn't want that. Jessica wanted to fight. And she went and lied and got a false DVPO. Coincidence....I dont think so. So please don't listen to the review from Jessica on 02-22-2021. It is a false review and a lie. So if you want an attorney that cares about you and not what's in your wallet and will go over and beyond without asking for more money, hire Kathryn Abele.

I found kathrynn online at some law website when searching for legal help for a case where my sons mother was attempting to take him out of the stats after 5 years of coparenting with no prior indication to me. Kathryn helped me cut costs whenever possible and in the end helped me win what I believed to be a difficult case. After proving that what my son would be leaving behind in Washington was WAY more significant than the promise of a steady home for his mother away from all of his family and friends. A tumultuous 6 months later and a hell of a battle. Kathrynn always kept me informed on any potential costs or conflicts and allowed me to do some work for myself to help cut costs once again. I did whatever I could. There was no way I could let the other half of my life leave. Eventually we settled last week. I was not named the primary pareny but it was determined I was his primary male role model(whatever that means, his father) and we would continue with out 50/50 schedule that had been maintained for the past 3 years until this case. Kathrynn has an attitude and healthy obsession with the law and getting justice for her clients in whatever way possible. She was professional throughout, upfront and helped me immensely. Id recommend her to anyone with family law concerns. As soon as i posted on the law website the first time 2 minutes later I was on a free phone consultation and doing everything I could before even paying a cent. Kathryn is lazer focused and works insanely hard. In the end I couldn't be happier. I get to stay with my son in Washington and everything has worked out as best as I could of wished.

Kathryn took my case in less then weeks before my court hearing. I was turned down by multiple attorney's with all odds against me. I won full custody of my children thanks to her hard work and dedication. She worked tirelessly and efficiently through my case. Ensuring she knew every detail. She made me feel like my case was her top priority and kept me updated on everything with full explanation. She gave me the hope ,strength and courage I needed standing before the court. When we presented in court she was always a step ahead. She has great knowledge of child custody cases and knows the system well. She is by far the best attorney out there!!!! Thank you Kathryn !!!

In Oct 2017, Kathryn entered our very COMPLEX De Facto case. It was extremely messy and stressful. Kathryn immediately took on the case, knowing that despite what had already occurred, in the favor of our opposing counsel, she could help to overturn the actions already taken. In three months time, Kathryn kept us up to speed each and every moment during our proceedings, was very responsive to our questions and concerns and always responded, same day to our e-mails. She never missed a deadline. Kathryn clearly, professionally and accurately stated the law in each motion filed. She knew exactly how to defend us - and in the end all motions were overturned in our favor. She really understands how our legal system operates, and how to seek justice. Kathryn has helped me with a few issues now. She really cares about me and my children. She is passionate, caring and will always tell me the truth and not sugar coat anything. She is not a lawyer who cares about money. She is not concerned about billable hours. She is concerned about her clients and their families. BY the way, I believe the previous review was posted by my Ex Wife. She does not care for Kathryn because Kathryn flat out out lawyered her lawyer. Kathryn will always be my attorney of choice. I hired Kathryn to help me deal with custody issues that turned very ugly. My ex is one of those high conflict individuals that creates conflict where none exists. He may even qualify as having a PD (personality disorder) like BPD or NPD (as described in the book "Splitting" by Bill Eddy & Randi Kreger). As soon as I began seeing someone new my son's father went crazy and began making accusations of child abuse against my new partner and trying to make my life miserable. Kathryn was there to help me even during the off hours when an incident would happen and I did not know how to respond. There were several instances in which I had to contact her early on a Saturday morning and she was always there for me. I always felt bad for bothering her but she never made me feel like it was an issue. I could tell that she cared and just wanted to help. To me, this is going above and beyond your duty as an attorney. Additionally, she always kept me in the loop and informed about what was going on and gave "me" the option to decide what to do and the possible consequences of each option instead of just deciding for me. Kathryn also knew that I was on a budget and worked hard to try and save money for me where she was able to. This was extremely helpful for me. Recently Kathryn had to withdraw from assisting me with my case and this was very upsetting because I really like her and I feel that she cared. She explained to me a personal situation in which a police officer tripped her at the courthouse. I couldn't believe it! When she filed a grievance they claimed that she was lying. I know that she would never do this because I have experienced her as a very fair and just individual and it is sad that the system is so messed up. As a result she has been temporarily barred from practicing law and can no longer assist me. I would like future clients to know that this was at no fault of hers and does not in any way reflect on her performance as an attorney. Unfortunately, from what I have learned through this whole process is that the legal system is very flawed. Kathryn is great and I would recommend her to anyone!

Attorney often get a bad name, and after having 5 attorneys in my custody case, I can understand why. I have had a few good attorneys and some very terrible attorney's, but Kathryn Abele is simply the best. She knows law like none other. She is a real person. Some people can't handle authentic genuine people and she may rub some the wrong way, but she will go to battle for you and get results. She bills in an honest manner, and I will be eternally grateful to her. She got me custody of my son, and I will forever be indebted to her for that. She was always there for me, and always backed me up. If you want an honest attorney that will stand up for your rights as a parent, then she is the one. Thank you Kathryn for all you did for me. Kathryn is the most honest attorney I've ever dealt with. When I heard she was suspended because her bar association didn't believe she told the truth when she filed a report on a cop tripping her I was appalled--not because I believed Kathryn would do that--but because someone wouldn't believe she was writing the truth when she wrote the report. I found Ms Abele to be forthright in her approach, while she's kinda different than the average woman, and completely truthful to me about what should happen in my case and what was happening with her. I, as her client, believed that justice would prevail for this wonderful person but it has not and I am sad for the system now because it has lost a great attorney. I want everyone who reads this I would recommend Ms Abele despite having a "suspension" on her record because I believe her and she has no incentive to lie but if a cop trips someone and it gets reported certainly would. It is my understanding that a witness saw the trip but somehow he wasn't believed either.

Three previous lawyers could not fix my problem. Kathryn saved me nearly $70,000 in overcharges I'd be stuck paying to my "ex"...probably until my death. It still cost money, but the ROI is in the black, not red.
