The entire process has been confusing for me. I am not a lawyer and have no experience with any of this so I could be mistaken in my review but this whole thing seemed off to me. It seemed like I had good representation but by the end I realized how little was actually done. First I was talked into a...sking for the bare minimum and anytime I asked her to help me go for more I would be dismissed, ignored and no attempt would be made to even try to get what I wanted. It turns out almost all of the evidence and responses I gave her after the custody hearing were not submitted to the court or to my stbex's attorney at all and there is a chance it will not be accepted now unless I can hopefully get a continuance due to how poorly she has handled things leaving me with no idea what needs to be done and how to proceed now that the money for her has ran out. Very little communication beyond telling me what she wouldn't do while telling me I should do everything my stbex wanted without opposition. At this point it seems like I would have been better off learning everything and representing myself. The time in court with her for the custody hearing left a lot to be desired as well. She ignored the physical and mental abuse I went through never bringing it up at all. In preparation for it I was told to simply submit a statement which I did. Later I find I should have submitted the evidence of abuse I have as well but was never told to. I have to warn any person thinking about hiring her that unless you know what should and can be done and have an air tight 100% guaranteed case then stay away. I say this because looking at what my stbex's lawyer has done and tried to do it makes me wonder why she did so little and refused to do so much.

Kathryn B Abele saved my life and taught me what it meant to be an officer of the court. This compassionate woman jumped in my case when everyone else backed off on me considering the seriousness of the allegations of my case. My vicious and nasty Ex wife and her attorney accused me of molesting my ...biological daughter after I held them in contempt of court for obstructing my parenting time two days prior to EX making the molestation allegation as a tactic to take me out of the picture. They were asking a life ban for contact with my six year old daughter. they frivolously filed a DVPO both in carolina and in Wa. I witnessed my six year old coached by the mother and be questioned by detective and medical professionals for something that I never ever imagined in my life. Kathryn walked with me and had my back and never failed to pick up my phone calls or get back to me even after work hours. With tenacity and professionalism she demolish the lies orchestrated by Ex and her lawyer in court. The judge ruled at my favor and called out EX and her lawyer on their nasty lies and their tactic as a retaliation and wit to win sole custody which would allow Ex to continue receiving hefty monthly child support and not participate on my long distance transportation fees. Thanks to Kathryn I still continue to actively play a fatherly role in my daughter's life and continue to be the father I was called to be. Kathryn My daughter and I owe you life, and thank you again for everything . FYI, Dan, Amy and the other staff members , I haven't forgotten your support through this case.

I couldn't be happier with Kathryn Abele. What an amazing attorney. She cared about me and not the money. I knew I made the right decision when Kathryn told me that she would only drop me if I lied to her. She doesn't care about money. Money was always the last thing we talked about. Kathryn di...dn't want a huge retainer. That also showed me she cared about me and not the money. Kathryn charged me $2000 for my divorce AND to get a DVPO dismissed. Not only did I completely win my divorce and my ex wife got $0 from me I also kept all of my property without having to split anything with my ex wife but Kathryn also got my DVPO completely dismissed because Kathryn proved that the only reason my ex wife got the DVPO was to gain leverage in the divorce. I couldn't be happier with Kathryn. If you want someone that cares about YOU hire Kathryn. I also spent a little time reading through her reviews. I noticed a 1 star review from someone named Jessica on 02-22-2021 the same day we got our final divorce papers. Hmmmm my ex wifes name is Jessica. And my ex wife just lost everything she was asking for. I am willing to bet that the 1 star review came from my ex wife Jessica. The reason I say that is because my ex wife wanted 10k in lawyers fees. Not only that but before I even hired a lawyer I offered my ex wife money to pay for any fees if she would just stop lying and we ended our marriage civily. Jessica didn't want that. Jessica wanted to fight. And she went and lied and got a false DVPO. Coincidence....I dont think so. So please don't listen to the review from Jessica on 02-22-2021. It is a false review and a lie. So if you want an attorney that cares about you and not what's in your wallet and will go over and beyond without asking for more money, hire Kathryn Abele.

My so called simple parenting plan had turned into an ugly nightmare of a year and a half of litigation. Ill gotten DVPOS, other hideous accusations, wasted money, and my precious daughter growing up with my ability to see her being severly limited. He gave me some much needed assistance and referred me to Kathryn. My trial was looming in the distance, I didn't really expect to get help. Right away I could tell she was a straight shooter, not someone who was going to give me the run around.
