I called the office at 425-316-8090 to try and confirm the office address because I had a 10am appt. I called in and was greeted with: “I’m on the phone I can’t talk.” I had to look at my phone to make sure I had called the right number. The person didn’t give their name, and I said “Wow that’s a... rude way to answer the phone to a potential client.” The lady, I believe it was Katherine responded with “well wouldn’t it be rude to not talk to the person I’m on the phone with?” I responded with “I said no, you should have just answered with - This is so and so, I am on the other line can I give you a call back when I’m done?” So her being extremely rude, wasted my and the other clients time. I was looking forward to working with the firm, but was told I’m not wanted as a client because I called back on a secondary number 425-316-8080. How am I supposed to know all lines lead to Katherine? I only know it was Katherine because the second time I called she actually said her name. And I only called a second time because I thought I was speaking to a receptionist who was being very rude.

We got off to a good start, once my retainer was paid in full everything started changing, at first she made it seem like we had the upper hand in the custody battle and property dissolution but as time went on I realized she didn't care about the outcome after I refused to lie about the past history... and behavior of my ex husband. I ended up hiring a different attorney and to this day have not received any of my retainer money back. The moment I hired a different attorney communication inproved with my ex husband and his attorney and we were able to settle and agree. Kathryn is very unprofessional and rude, does not let me finish a sentence and during our last conversation she hung up on me twice. She wasn't supportive of communicating with the opposing party and only cared that we went to trial.

I drove to her office living in mill creek myself seeking some guidance I needed for a beyond normal child custody situation in snohomish county. Hired her for an hour to get all my papers into pdf format and also organized. I had like 300 pages of crap and she got all the important stuff together su...per fast. One pile of papers for court and one pile to turn into pdf format so I can serve someone across the country. Without her I'd be lost in the ocean. I got great news at my court date a few weeks later regarding my child and I couldn't have been happier with her service.

This attorney was paid almost 50k and only made things worse. She yelled at the judge. She has no credibility in the legal community and is only a liability to the person that hires her. She received PPP loans during COVID. She was hostile, unhelpful and a complete and utter sham as an attorney. ...Google Kathryn Abel animal noises and believe EVERYTHING you read on the internet about her. She cares about the money and that's it.

Kathryn B Abele saved my life and taught me what it meant to be an officer of the court. This compassionate woman jumped in my case when everyone else backed off on me considering the seriousness of the allegations of my case. My vicious and nasty Ex wife and her attorney accused me of molesting my ...biological daughter after I held them in contempt of court for obstructing my parenting time two days prior to EX making the molestation allegation as a tactic to take me out of the picture. They were asking a life ban for contact with my six year old daughter. they frivolously filed a DVPO both in carolina and in Wa. I witnessed my six year old coached by the mother and be questioned by detective and medical professionals for something that I never ever imagined in my life. Kathryn walked with me and had my back and never failed to pick up my phone calls or get back to me even after work hours. With tenacity and professionalism she demolish the lies orchestrated by Ex and her lawyer in court. The judge ruled at my favor and called out EX and her lawyer on their nasty lies and their tactic as a retaliation and wit to win sole custody which would allow Ex to continue receiving hefty monthly child support and not participate on my long distance transportation fees. Thanks to Kathryn I still continue to actively play a fatherly role in my daughter's life and continue to be the father I was called to be. Kathryn My daughter and I owe you life, and thank you again for everything . FYI, Dan, Amy and the other staff members , I haven't forgotten your support through this case.
