I represent people navigating difficult family transitions, and my goal in each case is to achieve the best possible legal and relational results for the least amount of emotional and financial stress.  I take pride in helping families create lasting agreements tailored to meet their unique circumstances, and I strive to leave them with the necessary tools to resolve future disputes without going to court. 

My practice includes Collaborative Divorce, Mediation, Independent Adoption, and select constested litigation.

To minimize the stress and anxiety that accompanies family restructuring, I help clients identify and prioritize their goals, and to keep focused on the things that are most important to them. I place equal importance on both client education and client advocacy, ensuring that my clients have the information they need to make informed decisions.

I began my legal career as a paralegal at a law firm in my hometown of Memphis, Tennessee before moving to Portland for law school. In my second year of law school, I clerked for the Honorable Robert E. Jones for the United States District Court, District of Oregon. Since moving to Portland, I have worked at firms with a wide range of practice areas, from business advising and strategy to elder law and intellectual property law. I hold a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Memphis and a juris doctor  from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College.

In my free time, you may find me starting yet another DIY project, enjoying Portland's fantastic food and culture, or getting lost in a puzzle or strategy game. My ability to examine an issue from every side has helped me develop a balanced approach to family law cases.
