Excellent divorce lawyer

Joel handled my rather complicated and acrimonious divorce with professionalism and compassion. He helped me understand each step in the process, from the moment I walked in the door until the divorce was final. He clearly and concisely answered my panicked emails and phone calls, and helped me reach... a settlement that I could live with (let's face it, no one wins in divorce). I can't recommend Joel any more, he was truly a godsend in a difficult time.

Excellent Lawyer!

Joel has been my lawyer since 2014 and has been an integral part in the role I now get to be in my daughters life. Joel has always been easy to get ahold of and got back to me in a timely manner. He puts a lot of time and effort into my case and I greatly appreciate that about him. Although lawyers a...re never cheap, I have never felt like my money has gone to waste. I would highly refer Joel to anybody looking for a lawyer.

Excellent service for estate planning

Joel came highly recommended and I'm pleased to say that he fulfilled all my expectations, and then some! Joel was extremely knowledgable when I came to him about writing my will, and walked me through all the steps while being able to communicate to me in terms that I'd understand. He not only craft...ed my will, but made sure that all my other assets (401K, investments) were good to go. Since then, I've had additional questions about my will and Joel always answered quickly and spent considerable amount of time making sure that I understood and had my needs addressed. Unlike other lawyers, Joel never made me feel rushed and I could tell that he truly cares about his clients and makes the effort to get to know them. I've also reached out to Joel multiple times regarding other non-family law issues, and he referred me to great lawyers here in the Portland area. I can't imagine a more attentive, personable, comprehensive and thorough family lawyer in the Portland area.

Family law hah

We went to him to get help with a visitation issue and after several thousand dollars of "prep" for two hearing do we find out he didn't know any way to help our case only wanted to take our money.

Highly recommend!

We used Joel's services as a real estate attorney when we sold our home by owner. We paid far less to Joel than we would have to a realtor and we had peace of mind knowing Joel was protecting us long term. He is thorough yet expedient and very easy to work with. I cannot recommend him enough and plan... on using his services in the future.
