I received my undergraduate degree from Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and attended the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in Lansing, Michigan. While I am a recent transplant to the Pacific Northwest I am happy to call Oregon my home.
One of the best parts of living in Oregon is the access to outdoor activities. I enjoy skiing, bike riding, and hiking with my dog, Suzy. On rainy days I like to play the guitar, brew beer, and cook vegetables from my garden.
My practice is founded on guiding clients through complex legal situations during the very emotional times created as a result of divorce, custody, guardianship, adoption, and other family law matters by concentrating on the permissible rights and obligations of all parties involved.
Family law matters can often be contemptuous, which is why it is my goal to support the interest of my clients and maintain honest dialogue in order to create a relationship of trust during situations of crisis.
If you would like to discuss your legal matter with me, please contact me at to schedule a consultation. I hope to help you get the solutions you need.

Avoid this lawyer and his law firm AT ALL COSTS. We hired Ben Evans to help my mother through her divorce from her abusive ex-husband, and let me tell you: working with him was one of the most infuriating and aggravating experiences of our lives. Not only was this illiterate, degenerate lawyer unr...

When I got divorced a couple of years ago, it was Awful. I am so glad that I spoke with Benjamin. He gave me great advice, and steered me in the right direction. Even afterwards, he often will ask about it if we see each other. I highly recommend Benjamin Evans!

After 13 years of directly paying my exwife child support for our 2 children, per a verbal agreement, she decided to take me to court for more money. After trying to talk to her and settle situation out of court, as we have for last 13 years, I realized she wasnt going to compromise anymore and simpl...

Mr. Evans will not properly represent you and will only waste your money. He does not listen to your concerns and I got the feeling as though he wanted to just get my case over and done with. I consulted with another lawyer on the same case and they were very confused as to why Mr. Evans was making s...

Ben is a nice enough person but a sole practitioner with too many cases who does not listen to your concerns, rolls over for the opposing party's attorney and bungles your case. He made some critical errors but my new attorney thankfully fixed them almost immediately, he's not accessible and takes da...
