ames B. Lewis did an incredible job on my case! The hardest part about my case were the results of the Field Sobriety Tests. The prosecutor was portraying the officer as a "professional" regarding his training in detecting impairment and recognizing DUI. James had the officer explain his training ...in great detail and turned that all around. The Judge said the court would not consider the officer as a professional in this area. When the officer explained the events of my arrest in great detail, James questioned him. He asked if I was being detained when he pulled me over, prior to me taking any field sobriety tests. The officer said "yes" in front of the judge. Since I had been pulled over for speeding, but not driving recklessly or erratically in any way, he had violated my 4th amendment right. James filed a motion to suppress and the judge granted it. Bam! My field sobriety tests could no longer be used in this case. He fought for me hard. Plenty of cheap over the counter lawyers could care less about your outcome. I will recommend James to any friends or family that find themselves in a similar situation.

Late one evening while I was visiting my family in Hawaii this past Christmas, I had the misfortune of being pulled over at the speed trap right past Castle hospital and later was charged with a DUI. For me, the whole process of being put in handcuffs and charged as a criminal was an extremely stres...sful ordeal; not only in the moment, but also considering my future career prospects and how "having a record" impacted that. I had never been to trial before, but let me tell you that it is a completely surreal experience to feel that weight lift off your shoulders when you hear the judge say to the room "I find the defendant - not guilty". I now have my license and my livelihood back, and am completely free of a criminal record. I would highly recommend James to anyone in need of a defense attorney.

James has helped me with a few legal issues. After getting arrested for an underage DUI, I was depressed and hopeless.
