We were recommended to Mr. Holcomb by a trusted attorney. His recommendation proved invaluable, as Mr. Holcomb and his associate, Mr. Kevin O'Grady managed to win the case, with complete dismissal of all charges! Given the circumstances, this result is nothing short of miraculous, but clearly a reflection of the considerable skill, experience and depth of knowledge of the law that made this miracle a reality. We cannot sufficiently express our gratitude to these wonderful people, who are superbly communicative at all phases of the litigation, as is their support staff. A five star rating is not sufficient! You cannot go wrong by considering them if you are in a similar difficult circumstance. We will be forever grateful for their help.

In 2015 HPD violated my Constiuional rights becasue I am not a citizen, I contacted Rick who called me back the same day, Rick got all the information and set about correcting the situation in Federal court,
Rick kept me updated with all the information and got results as fast as humanly possible, The ultimate conclusion was Rick was right and the city was wrong and my Rights were protected.

If you have recently gotten arrested/charged with a DUI and you're thinking about hiring a lawyer, get one! But don't just get any lawyer, get Rick. He's your guy.
Rick works tirelessly on every case he takes on, which is why he can't take on too many at once. He makes sure to give your case the attention it deserves and does everything in his power to give you the best possible chances in criminal court as well as in the ADLRO hearings. He knows what he's talking about and is always prepared.
I cannot thank Rick enough for everything he has done for me and my case. He was able to get my criminal charges dismissed WITH prejudice (meaning the state can not refile the charges) and he was able to get my already revoked driver's license back (something I wasn't expecting at all)!
This DUI charge has made my life a living hell ever since I got arrested. I have wished I could go back in time and act differently that night, every single day since. Thanks to Rick, I can continue on with my life without this hanging over me. I can never be more grateful. He is worth every penny and I highly, highly recommend that you hire Rick if you want the best chances you can get.

Rick Holcomb has absolutely performed exactly as I could have hoped as my DUI defense lawyer. I recently moved to Hawaii this year as a travel nurse and unfortunately was charged with a DUI which could be extremely detrimental to my medical career. I did some research and stumbled across the reviews, like this one, praising the work that Rick has performed for others in similar situations and decided to contact him. He has been extremely straightforward through every step of the process and I have not been left in the dark about anything. I have been able to live my life as normal as possible throughout this entire process without it being too much of a burden on my work and personal affairs. At the end of the day, I was able to have my criminal case dismissed and therefore it will not be able to affect my career or future in any negative way. Rick is an awesome lawyer and worth the money spent and you should be able to stand in court with confidence with him by your side.

Going to through a DUI is scary enough and confusing, But Richard was able to make it much more easier to go through. He will get on to the point, tell you what is going to happen (Good and Bad side) and what needs to be done on your side.I really appreciate the fact that he will answers your questions right away, I remember one time I called and he was at the fair with his family and answered my questions. HIGHLY Recommend Richard Holcomb.

Rick handled my second amendment federal court case. Under Hawaii law, I was discriminated against because I am a permanent resident alien. I was unable to apply to acquire a firearm until I became an American citizen in 3 years. Rick obtained a permanent injunction and won the case on summary judgment. I highly recommend Rick for anyone with a civil rights claim. He truly understood my circumstances and helped me in a very professional, thorough and quick manor. Thanks to Rick, I can now continue in my chosen sport and volunteer teaching in firearms education.

A+++Lawyer!!! Mr. Richard Holcomb and his agency helped me to get out from under the clutches of two creditors who threatened to sue me for funds I may not have even owed them. Mr. Holcomb kept me informed the whole way and got me two great settlements, even if it meant his firm got less. He and Justin Brackett listened to everything I had to say without judging me and worked hard to put a case together for me. Just knowing that his firm was standing by me and competently battling those vicious creditors took away alot of my anxiety and stress. All their hard work didn't cost me a cent! I would highly recommend him and his firm to anyone who is being tormented by collection agencies and their lawyers.

Mr. Holcomb managed my case very thoroughly and obtained the best possible results!
I was arrested at a DUI roadblock and from the very beginning he was clear with me - he would fight my case but could not promise any outcome. The first session was free and he provided an overview of how the process would be and somewhat the possibilities that we had for both cases.
During the entire process, he managed to provide me with temporary driving licenses, so that I was able to drive for the entire period. He is highly professional and provide you with sufficient precise information so that you can take certain key decisions on how to move your case forward.
I recommend 100% his services. He is not the cheapest lawyer in town. But if you really want the race, better to drive a Ferrari rather than a Kia!

What can I say? My case was dismissed (although without prejudice) and he/we won. His paralegal, Darko, should get some props too...when Mr. Holcomb was unavailable, Darko was a wealth of information and advice.
Maybe I got lucky in some hearings (none of the cops showed up, ever) I felt that Mr. Holcomb would have done what it takes to win. While this entire process seems expensive, I would totally recommend it for someone who needs to have their reputation intact (I'm a teacher.) After the last hearing, I said, "I'm gonna call you "the Magician" on Avvo because you just waved your hand and the cops testifying against me disappeared." :D Seriously, while my case had luck, I had total faith in him to win regardless.
I had 3 tickets attached to my DUI: the ADLRO, the DUI, and the initial infraction (lane weaving) that led to all of it. He got the lane weaving dismissed on the first hearing. He beat the ADLRO on the second hearing. Then, he did his magic and none of the cops appeared at my 3rd DUI hearing. Seriously, this guy is magic and you have to get him if $7.5k is worth your reputation. If I didn't win this, I can't be a teacher anymore, so what he did is priceless to me.
In summary, either you have a job or don't where a DUI will destroy you, you *have* to hire my guy as the best chance to fight it. Seriously. Don't take a DUI without a fight, and my guy will fight it for you to the death.
Because of an illness, I had to get the breath thingy for my car. While there for services, I met choke guys in the same situation but without a lawyer. Don't be that guy. Get a lawyer and fight it.
Get my guy and win it.
