Navid Moshtael

I recently retained the Moshtael Family Law firm to represent me in a DVRO case. I had filed the DVTRO using a different law firm. However, two days before my scheduled hearing, I decided to switch law firms because during the three weeks of my TRO, I realized that I was dealing with an extreme narci...ssist with other severe mental instabilities. The opposing counsel had been aggressive with his tactics and was showing signs of narcissism himself. I realized I had a high conflict case on hand, and I needed the best lawyers with lots of experience dealing with narcissists. After my initial phone conversation with Navid, I decided to retain his firm because he demonstrated his dedication and experience. In fact, it was a Sunday, and Navid took the time to reach out quickly since he knew my hearing was in two days. He laid out his strategy for my case after hearing my side of the story. He analyzed how the opposing counsel may fight the case. I worked mainly with Erin Noonan and Dan Knowlton for my RO case, and within one month they helped me obtain a five-year DVRO. Erin has been very organized and helped me sort through the mountain of evidence. All my interactions with her has been enjoyable. She speaks openly and frankly. She has a way of putting my mind as ease, which has been great help for me mentally. Whenever I asked her to do something, she responded timely and with a high level of professionalism. Dan was the lawyer that did the deposition on the respondent and appeared at all my hearings. Dan is witty, focused, and has great strategy. I honestly enjoyed watching him in action in court. He asked great questions, and with lots of respect and grace. I believe the judge was able to observe Dan’s respect for the court and everyone involved as well. He is logical in his questioning. He is also humble and discussed things with me openly. Dan helped me prepare and stay focused in the cross examination, which was the part that gave me the most anxiety. I was a victim in domestic abuse, and the opposing counsel did not hesitate to re-victimize me. However, Dan helped me center myself and focus on my facts. I believe I did a great job in the cross examination because of that. I am so glad I retained the Moshtael Family Law firm. I did not have a particularly strong case, and it sure was high conflict. I am thankful to everyone involved, especially Dan and Erin, for giving me this best outcome that I could have hoped for.
